<p>Mercedes-Benz&nbsp;has redesigned its&nbsp;flagship&nbsp;electric sedan, the EQS. For the new model year, the EQS has undergone some modest visual modifications,&nbsp;and its larger battery pack&nbsp;now&nbsp;allows the car to travel farther between charges.&nbsp;Apart from&nbsp;adjusting&nbsp;the regenerative braking system, the German carmaker&nbsp;has&nbsp;updated several comfort elements for passengers in the backseat. With bookings commencing on April 25, the new EQS is expected&nbsp;to go on sale in international markets shortly.&nbsp;According to Mercedes-Benz,&nbsp;despite the latest&nbsp;modifications, the base price of the model will remain the same.&nbsp;Although the brand&nbsp;has yet to announce a launch&nbsp;date, it is anticipated that the EV will eventually be sold in India. <h2>2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS Sedan: Enhanced Specs</h2>

<p>The highlight of the revamped model is its larger battery pack.&nbsp;The all-new&nbsp;EQS gets a 118kWh battery pack, up from the previous capacity of 108.4kWh.&nbsp;As a result, the electric sedan's average range has increased by 82 kilometres.&nbsp;The EQS 450 4MATIC EV is now expected to travel up to&nbsp;799 kilometres, as opposed to the previous claim of 717 kilometres. Meanwhile, the&nbsp;450+ version promises&nbsp;an even better range of&nbsp;822 kilometres on a single charge. It is important to note that&nbsp;these claimed ranges are based on the WLTP cycle and may vary&nbsp;depending on the country. The EV is also equipped with a Disconnect Unit (DCU), which, in all-wheel drive variants, may turn off the front motor based on the driving conditions. Additional&nbsp;changes to the vehicle include an upgraded regenerative braking system with a faster deceleration rate.</p>

<p>Currently, a&nbsp;107.8kWh lithium-ion battery pack is available for the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/reviews/car-reviews/mercedes-benz-eqs-580-review-first-drive-111839/">India-spec EQS</a>. On a single charge, it is said to offer&nbsp;857 kilometres range.&nbsp;With the new and larger battery pack, however, the&nbsp;facelifted model should be able to travel close to&nbsp;900 kilometres.</p>

<h2>2025 Mercedes-Benz EQS Sedan:&nbsp;Styling Elements</h2>

<p>One of the most&nbsp;noticeable cosmetic updates&nbsp;for&nbsp;the 2025 EQS is on the front end.&nbsp;The fascia&nbsp;now has&nbsp;a reworked black panel with chrome slats, giving it a more traditional&nbsp;appearance as compared to&nbsp;the previous&nbsp;model.&nbsp;The new EQS&nbsp;also features an upright Mercedes star on the front hood, something the previous model did not have. Besides this, the sedan shares design features with the outgoing&nbsp;model.</p>

<p>With the Extended Rear Luxury Lounge Pack, a&nbsp;unique slanted footrest is now available at the back. Moreover, the front passenger seat may be folded forward, and the rear backrest can be tilted up to 38 degrees, providing even more comfort for passengers in the back. Mercedes also claims to have added 5mm of padding to the backrest of the rear seats.&nbsp;In addition, there is pneumatic seat depth adjustment, neck and shoulder heating in the back, and seat heating as optional features.&nbsp;Along with other new features including Dolby Atmos, a YouTube web app, and a digital trip guide, the EQS now comes standard with the MBUX Hyperscreen.&nbsp;The&nbsp;Automatic Lane Change (ALC) feature allows the EQS&nbsp;to&nbsp;automatically overtake&nbsp;the car in front and initiate lane changes within a speed range of 80–140km/h.</p>

<p>In other news, the carmaker is <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/mercedes-benz-to-launch-3-new-electric-vehicles-in-india-following-record-q1-2024-ev-sales-116783/">gearing up to launch several&nbsp;new models later this year</a>.&nbsp;These include&nbsp;the&nbsp;E-Class, AMG C63 E Performance F1 Edition, and the AMG S63 E Performance.&nbsp;</p>
