The car is the all-electric <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mercedes-benz/eqs-suv/">EQS SUV</a>, built at the company’s Chakan plant near Pune. Mercedes-Benz started its India journey in 1995 with the W124 E-Class. It took Mercedes-Benz nearly 20 years to make its first 50,000 cars in India. The next 50,000 came in just nine years. The biggest leap came recently — the last 50,000 cars were made in just two years.
