MG Motor has officially revealed the pricing and specification of its new all-electric hatchback, ahead of the vehicle's first public debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed (July 13-16).&nbsp;Christened the MG4 EV XPower, it is claimed to be the company's most powerful production car to date. The performance-oriented version of the MG4EV with the XPower moniker will retail at a starting price of € 36,495 (around Rs 32.77 lakh), with the company opening its order books starting July in the UK. The hot hatch is based on the&nbsp;Modular Scalable Platform (MSP) and comes powered by a much-anticipated dual-motor engine, which cranks out 429bhp of combined output and up to 600Nm of peak torque.&nbsp;

The 2023 MG4 EV has a 201bhp front and 228bhp rear motor, allowing a 0 to 100km/h acceleration time of 3.8 seconds when a new launch control feature is engaged. This makes it the fastest-accelerating hatch, just like the Audi RS3 - which carries a starting price of € 54,050 (around Rs 48.52 lakh).&nbsp;

<h2>2023 MG4 EV XPower: Technical Bits</h2>

The new MG4 EV XPower gets&nbsp;technological upgrades in the form of an all-new dynamic cornering control system, through which power is sent to all four wheels. This system includes an electronic locking differential and Intelligent Motor Control. In terms of suspension, the EV receives recalibrated spring and dampers, stiffer anti-roll bars, and sharper steering, giving a 25 per cent stiffer suspension. Other bits include a set of 345mm discs on all wheels, Bridgestone Turanza tyres,&nbsp;and&nbsp;recalibrated regenerative braking software.&nbsp;

<h2>2023 MG4 EV XPower: Design&nbsp;</h2>

Design-wise, the XPower receives subtle enhancements and therefore looks quite similar to the regular MG4 EV. These include orange XPower brake callipers, a two-tone black roof, new 18-inch alloy wheels with polished trim accents, and an exclusive Racing Green colour option.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The 2023 MG4 EV XPower will make its first public appearance at the&nbsp;Goodwood Festival of Speed, alongside a new concept car - the MG EX4. Underpinned by the MG4 XPower's electric powertrain, the EX4 will sport a distinctive livery designed particularly for the festival.&nbsp;

A 7-inch digital console, V2L (Vehicle 2 Load) function, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with iSmart UI, wireless charger, connected car tech, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats and others will comprise the features list of the model. It will also have leather upholstered seats, an MG pilot with ADAS, and more. On the exterior, the electric four-wheeler gets a sporty roofline, all-LED lighting, and dual-tone alloy wheels. &nbsp;

More than 20 European markets, including Germany, France, the United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Norway, and Sweden, currently sell the MG4 EV. The car is offered in six different colour schemes on a global level including Holborn Blue, Black Pearl, Volcano Orange, Arctic White, Camden Grey, and Dynamic Red.

The vehicle, which the automaker just unveiled, has a number of new features. Although it has always been an SUV with lots of goodies, the new model considerably increases the bar by incorporating advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) level 2 technology with 11 capabilities.

New connected blade LED taillamps from MG have been added, and they seem to be more fashionable. Additionally, the rear end receives Hector branding, a fresh chrome accent, and an updated lower bumper that resembles the MG Gloster. The 18-inch alloy wheels and every other body panel are still in place.

Mechanically, there are no changes in the&nbsp;2023 MG Hector facelift&nbsp;as&nbsp;the 2.0-litre&nbsp;four-cylinder turbo diesel or 1.5-litre four-cylinder turbo petrol engine options will still be offered.

Exterior

The MG4 EV exhibits&nbsp;crossover design elements in terms of appearance. It has sharp edges, sheer surfaces, and a few other characteristics that appear to have been influenced by the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mg/">MG </a>Cyberster roadster. It will boast sharp headlights with LED Daytime Running Lamps. Also, its front bumper will have multiple angular insets, a central air inlet, and more LED lighting components.&nbsp;The EV's rear end features an angled tailgate, a huge two-part roof extension-cum-spoiler, and a full-width taillight assembly with LED graphics.&nbsp;

Interior

The<a href="https://www.autox.com/electric-cars-in-india/"> EV's </a>interior comprises the dashboard with&nbsp;two floating screens - a 7-inch digital driver's display and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system situated in the centre. The dashboard's AC vents are hidden and the centre console stands out because it has a rotary dial and a wireless charging station.&nbsp;

Prices

In Europe, the price of the EV starts from&nbsp;€ 28,990 (Rs&nbsp;25 lakh approx). We still have no update regarding its price for Indian customers.&nbsp;The upcoming Auto Expo could be the platform for the manufacturer to introduce the EV into our market followed by the price announcement.&nbsp;

In other news, the MG Hector Facelift has been spied again, offering a sneak peek into the interior.&nbsp;The images of the interior showcased a new multi-layer dashboard made up primarily of leatherette materials. The new MG Hector Facelift will get a larger 14-inch touchscreen compared to the 10.4-inch on the outgoing model. The vertically-positioned 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system in the cabin will be the highlight of the model with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
