It is a&nbsp;limited edition EV with a distinctive hood painting and custom&nbsp;paint job. The Bespoke Semaphore Yellow colour of the bodywork is where the car gets its name. But the "Marbled Paint Spill" hood is the most striking feature. The artwork is referred to by the company as an “abstract tribute to the Golden State and its diverse environment,” with the "informal elegance of coastal California", serving as its inspiration. According to the British manufacturer, this custom design,&nbsp;based on the all-electric Spectre, demonstrates how the brand's younger, bolder customer base is changing their perception of what luxury looks like.</p>

The finish, which has&nbsp;several coats of paint for richness and depth, is similar to previous Rollers,&nbsp;and will undoubtedly look amazing in the Monterey sunshine later this month.&nbsp;The design, development, and manufacturing of the hood&nbsp;alone took 160 hours.</p>

The most recent model, which replaces the DB11 Convertible, no longer has the V12 engine and features an entirely refreshed exterior design and interior layout with cutting-edge technology. It, however, maintains the distinctive fabric reclining roof of its predecessor. The hard tonneau cover, which houses the roof, opens up to reveal the cabin's fascinating interior materials. Electrically powered, the fabric roof opens in 14 seconds and closes in 16 seconds at up to 50km/h. If you are within 6.5 feet of the vehicle, you can even control it remotely. In addition, since it is a fabric roof, it’s available in more contrasting colour options. The top is available in Black, Silver, Red, Blue, or any combination of those colours.</p>

<h2>Aston Martin DB12 Volante: Platform and Powertrain</h2>

<p>Aston Martin stated that the Volante is designed to offer the same uncompromised handling and performance as the DB12 coupe. A lot of thought went into strengthening the car's chassis because removing the roof lowers the torsional rigidity necessary for dynamic capability. Apart from adding a crossbrace across the engine bay, the company has also stiffened the suspension mounts by 140 per cent at the front. These modifications imply that the DB12 Volante possesses 3.7 per cent higher torsional rigidity compared to the DB11. The soft top and stiffer chassis have added 111kgs to the Volante's weight.</p>

<p>The Aston Martin DB12 Volante convertible is driven by a Mercedes-AMG sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol unit, which delivers 662bhp of maximum power and 800Nm of peak torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels when the engine is mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. It has an electronic rear differential as well, and according to the company, it has a top speed of 325km/h and can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in about 3.7 seconds.</p>

<h2>Aston Martin DB12 Volante: Interior Features</h2>

<p>The DB12 Volante incorporates Aston Martin's latest infotainment system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, featuring wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, just like the coupe. Conventional controls for features that are often used like heating and ventilation are included in the multimedia system. A Bowers &amp; Wilkins 15-speaker 1,170-watt setup is an upgrade for music lovers from the typical 11-speaker 390-watt standard sound system.</p>

<p>Aston Martin has also given the Volante a distinctive interior upgrade. The carmaker has added trim to the seat backs to complement the door panels because the front seats are more noticeable when the roof is down. The T.33 Spider and the T.50s Niki Lauda, a track-only variant of the T.50 flagship supercar, were revealed along with the T.50's first production model. The company had already announced that attendees of the Car Show will be treated with the global premieres of not one but two new products – the brand's open-top road-going coupe and a track-only special. Gordon Murray's magnificent T.50 and T.33 completely stunned us back when they were initially unveiled. Today, as part of The Quail, a Special Motorsports Gathering, the T.50s Niki Lauda edition, and the T.33 Spider have both made their public premieres at the show.</p>

<h2>Gordon Murray T.50s&nbsp;Niki Lauda</h2>

<p>The T.50s raises the bar for the already incredible T.50 and pays homage to F1 hero Niki Lauda, Itis powered by a 3.9-litre Cosworth V12 engine, producing 751bhp of maximum power – about 99bhp increase from the 652bhp of the T.50 standard variant. With a massive fan pulling the T.50s to the ground, it can be considered an entirely new kind of ‘fan car.’ The GMA T.50s, which costs over AUD $6 million and is constructed on a bespoke foundation from the ordinary T.50, can produce up to 1200kgs of downforce when travelling at high speeds, thanks to a radical rear-mounted fan, an aero kit, and a large delta wing. Dario Franchitti, a driver for Murray who has won the Indy 500 three times and four IndyCar championships, will operate the original Brabham BT44B F1 vehicle at the occasion. The T.50 is the original fan car that Gordon Murray created in the 1970s.</p>

<p>The first-generation T.50 was also on display in Monterey. This is a significant accomplishment for the crew because the supercars are now being produced and will soon be dispatched to their owners. This will demonstrate GMA's ability to provide personalised customisation, with an assurance that no two vehicles will be identical.</p>

<p>Commenting on the occasion, Professor Gordon Murray said, ‘We have so much to celebrate at this year’s Monterey Car Week, alongside showing the first production T.50 supercar, our open-top T.33 Spider makes its U.S. debut – a car that will deliver a truly involving driving experience unlike anything else. <h2>Gordon Murray T.33 Spider</h2>

<p>The Spider, which was created in tandem with the T.33 Coupe, has the same 608bhp Cosworth V12 engine as the T.33 Coupe, but it also has a distinctive two-piece retractable roof, which can be stored in the nose. It is heavier than the coupe by only 18kgs, owing to this creative design's weight-saving measures and lack of a complicated folding mechanism. According to GMA, because the T.33 was created with an open-top Spider in mind, it already surpasses most of the requirements for body shell rigidity.</p>

<p>The T.33 Spider's fantastic engine note is what really sets it apart, and buyers will be able to appreciate it more with the roof folded down. The rear window can be electrically lowered to for more engine noise to further improve the experience. The peak power for the 3.9-litre V12 engine remains unchanged and is produced at 10,250rpm. About 90 per cent of the engine's torque, i.e. 451Nm, is accessible between 4,500 and 10,500rpm.</p>

<p>GMA does not provide a 6-speed automatic in the Spider, unlike the coupe; instead, only a 6-speed manual is available. The decision, according to the manufacturer, was made because the manual transmission remains the most popular choice for the T.33 coupe. Two impressive supercars from Gordon Murray's firm, Gordon Murray Automotive made their debut in the U.S. at the ongoing Monterey Car Week. The T.33 Spider and the T.50s Niki Lauda, a track-only variant of the T.50 flagship supercar, were revealed along with the T.50's first production model.

<p>2023 Monterey Car Week: Automobili Pininfarina has added a new member to the family of electric cars. Called the B95, it is touted as the world's first electric hyper speedster with an open-top design. The maker of the all-electric Battista hypercar teased the new B95 a couple of days ago, and now the roofless hypercar has made its global debut at the ongoing 2023 Monterey Car Week in California. The car was put on display at The Quail, a Motorsports Gathering, alongside the Pura Vision Concept and the limited-edition Battista Edizione Nino Farina hypercar. Also referred to as the Barchetta by Mahindra-owned Pininfarina, this all-new B95 will enter into production in 2025. The open-top roadster will have a production run of just 10 units worldwide, with each commanding a price of € 4.4 million (approx. £ 3.8 million). This roughly translates to around Rs 39.78 crore (ex-showroom), making it pricier than the two-door Battista.</p>

<p>Just like the Vision Concept SUV, Pininfarina's PURA design philosophy has been instrumental in shaping the B95's design language. Unlike the Battista, the B95 hypercar gets slim LED headlights on a low-slung front end and vertical slats in the centre. The lack of a glasshouse resulted in what the company calls a 'surrounding loop' design, incorporating the cabin, the aero screens, and the domes behind the seats. The electronically adjustable aero screens for the driver and passenger make the B95 stand out from other Speedsters and Barchetta vehicles. Also, these aero screens are made of clear polycarbonate with exposed aluminium supports and are designed after vintage fighter jets. Additionally, for added comfort, they can be easily raised and lowered.</p>

<p>At the rear, the all-new B95 gets similar slim LED tail lights as the Battista; however, it comes with a unique bumper and diffuser design. Other bits include 20-inch front and 21-inch rear black aluminium wheels, carbon-fibre elements (in the case of the front splitter, rear aero outlet, etc), Giallo Arneis-coloured brake callipers, etc.</p>

<h2>Pininfarina B95 Hypercar: Customisation Options</h2>

<p>Each of the 10 B95s, according to the automaker, will be completely unique due to the company's extensive customisation options, which also include a laser-engraved aluminium door plate. Additionally, customers will have the option to acquire helmets in accordance with the B95's compatible specs.</p>

<h2>Pininfarina B95 Hypercar: Underpinnings, Powertrain</h2>

<p>Sharing its underpinnings with the Battista, the new B95 will feature the same Rimac-built carbon-fibre monocoque underpinning. Powering the open-top two-seater is a 120 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which propels four permanent-magnet synchronous motors, sending power to all wheels. With the same powerful quad-motor system as the Battista, the B95 cranks out 2,340Nm of peak torque and 1,876bhp of maximum power. The sprint from 0 to 96 km/h is possible in less than two seconds, while the vehicle gets a claimed range of more than 450km on a single charge and a maximum speed of over 300km/h.</p>

<p>Furthermore, the B95 can be charged using a DC fast charger with a maximum output of 270kW, which can boost its battery from 20 to 80 per cent in less than 25 minutes. On offer are also five different drive modes – Calma, Pura, Energica, Furiosa, and Carattere – which use Full Torque Vectoring technology. These modes are selected using a rotary selector situated next to the steering wheel.</p>

<p>Inside, the B95 looks nearly identical to the Battista; however, it does come with some unique elements. A sculpted carbon-fibre dashboard is trimmed in tan sustainable luxury leather. The seats also have the same leather finish and a classic race car-inspired look, which curves around the user. The two-toned seats, inspired by the PURA Vision car, get Pied de Poule Houndstooth material on the upper part and tan upholstery on the lower part.</p>

<p>Hennessey's also focused on removing features from the track-oriented convertible model, consequently making it the lightest iteration of the Venom F5 – something that it shares with its track counterpart. <p>Monterey Car Week is an annual celebration of all things automotive, during which some of the rarest and most beautiful cars from the past, present, and future converge in Northern California. After a Covid induced hiatus in 2020, Car Week was back with a bang this year. Of all the events that take place during the week, there are three that are truly special – the Rolex Monterey Motorsports reunion, the Quail a motorsport gathering, and the <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/pebble-beach-concours-delegance-1938-mercedes-benz-540k-autobahn-kurier-wins-best-of-show-109904/">Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance</a>.</p>

<p><strong>Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion</strong></p>

<p>Held at the legendary Laguna Seca Race Track, the event included cars spanning over 100 years of automotive history. Historic race cars from the early 20th century, made up of wood and steel, turbocharged Indy Cars of the 60s and 70s, and 1980s’ Formula 1 machines, with ground effect aerodynamics and carbon fibre body parts, all raced on the 3.6km circuit. It really was a treat to see these thoroughbred race cars driven with passionate intensity. This year, the Rolex Monterey Motorsport reunion celebrated Ford in the Trans-Am class and the 55th anniversary of what came to be known as the Pony Car Wars. From 1966 to 1972, the Trans-Am series featured Americana classics like Mustangs, Camaros, and Cougars, with similar-size engines – the idea was to equalise their performance.</p>

<p>One of the highlights of the weekend was witnessing the CEO of Ford Motor Company, Jim Farley, race a Shelby Ford. Zac Brown, the CEO of McLaren, was another notable name who was on the track in his Lancia LC2. There is something great about seeing real automobile enthusiasts at the helm of automobile companies.</p>

<p><strong>The Quail a Motorsports Gathering</strong></p>

<p>If one could only attend a single event during Car Week, I’d say it should be the Quail. Held at the Quail Lodge and Golf Club, this event exudes the feel of a garden party organised to celebrate the finest classic and modern vehicles that ever graced the surface of the earth. This year, the highlight of the Quail was the launch of the new Lamborghini Countach. The launch was perfectly timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the original Countach. Back in the day, I had a poster of the original Countach on my wall, and it seems that the new car will also inspire posters or profile pictures that will embellish the walls of automobile enthusiasts. The new Countach takes a number of styling cues from the original and looks even better in person than it does in pictures. It's no surprise, then, that Horacio Pagani, the founder of Pagani Automobiles, was pictured giving the Countach a big thumbs up. Pagani himself had brought a stunning Huayra BC Roadster, which is a work of art in every sense of the terms and is destined to grace the Pebble Beach Concours in the years to come.</p>

<p>Lotus displayed its upcoming Electric Hypercar, the Evija, in a striking yellow paint scheme. However, the real star at the stand was the stunning Elmira, which will replace the current Evora. Its styling is inspired by the more expensive Evija – the car looks sensational and has been priced to compete against the likes of the Porsche Boxster. Another highlight of the event was Formula 1 World Champion Jenson Button who showcased his new coachbuilt vehicle, the Radford, which is inspired by the Lotus 62.</p>

<p>One of the themes of this year's event was the evolution of the sports car. A gorgeous 1937 Bugatti 57SC was on display alongside the latest Bugatti Chiron Supersport and the upcoming track-only Bolide, which will be sold to only 40 lucky customers for over $4 million apiece.</p>

<p><strong>Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance</strong></p>

<p>This year marked the 70th anniversary of the Pebble Beach Concours, and to commemorate the occasion, 38 previous Best in Show cars were present to welcome the new winner to their ranks. This year's Best in Show was a 1938 Mercedes Benz 540K Autobahn Kurier, which belongs to the Keller Collection from California. This year marked the Keller’s third Best in Show victory – they had earlier won in 1986 and 2001, with other Mercedes from their exquisite collection.</p>
