After a late crash in the second practice session for the Thailand Grand Prix, MotoGP title challenger Jorge Martin set the fastest lap times. The Pramac Ducati racer lost the Australian race's final lap and is now 27 points behind Francesco Bagnaia.
On the first day of practice for the 2023 Thai MotoGP, Jorge Martin topped the field with a set of new medium tyres, followed by Maverick Vinales, Pol Espargaro, and Aleix Espargaro. Yamaha's Franco Morbidelli finished in a respectable fifth place.
During the MotoGP Thai Grand Prix, rain and possibly thunderstorms may affect the 13-lap sprint race on Saturday and the 26-lap grand prix on Sunday at the 4.554km Buriram International Circuit.
