<p>Mini plans to launch the Countryman EV by February 2024 globally. The upcoming Countryman will be the first Mini to be entirely produced in the Leipzig facility of the BMW Group, which also produces the BMW 1 Series, BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé, and BMW 2 Series Active Tourer.&nbsp;Reportedly, it will be sold alongside the other two electric models by the brand – the Mini Cooper hatchback and the Aceman Crossover.&nbsp;The upcoming EV will be larger than its predecessor and will likely use the same platform as the BMW X1 and the iX1. According to the automaker, space-saving components used in the electric vehicle will make it more spacious inside. The firm hasn't revealed any technical information about the vehicle yet.&nbsp;However, the upcoming version is expected to have the same mechanical parts as the BMW iX1.</p>

<p>The upcoming model, according to reports, will come in three versions: E, SE, and JCW. Reports also suggest that the entry-level electric 'E' model will have a 54kWh battery, capable of generating 188bhp. The SE variant, on the other hand, may come with a larger 64kWh battery, capable of producing 268bhp. The upcoming Mini Countryman will probably have a 438km of range. In addition, it will likely get a four-wheel drive for both combustion and electric versions. The JCW model will have more power and sportier exterior elements than the other versions and will come equipped with both ICE and EV powertrains.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Appearance-wise, the upcoming model is expected to be different from the existing version, with a squarer front end and wider front, as well as rear overhangs. It will reportedly have a more rugged appearance than the existing model.
