<p>The upcoming Tata Nexon EV's launch is less than&nbsp;a week away. Alongside the&nbsp;new 2023 Nexon, the latest version of the Nexon EV will go on sale in the Indian market on the 14th of September 2023. Following the debut of the Nexon facelift, Tata Motors has now revealed the first mid-life cycle update&nbsp;for its&nbsp;Nexon EV. The company will launch the EV facelift on the said date and has announced that bookings for the same will open on September 9 at 8:00 a.m. Interested buyers can make their reservations at an initial amount of Rs 21,000. Meanwhile, bookings for the ICE-powered Nexon facelift had already started on September 4. Doing away with the usual nomenclature, the Tata Nexon EV will be offered in Medium-Range (MR) and Long-Range (LR) versions, corresponding to the currently available&nbsp;Prime and Max variants. Similar to the Nexon facelift, the&nbsp;new variants of the all-electric Nexon will be spread across 3&nbsp;core trims&nbsp;– Empowered, Creative, and Fearless.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The electric crossover&nbsp;accounted for more than 50,000 sales since its launch in January 2020. It is&nbsp;one of the most popular products in India, with its prices currently standing between Rs 14.49 lakh and Rs 17.19 lakh (ex-showroom). Expect the facelifted version to command a premium over the existing version, considering all the design and feature upgrades the facelift comes with.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Tata Nexon EV Facelift: Exterior &nbsp;</h2>

<p>First off, the Nexon EV facelift adopts the company's&nbsp;brand-new '.ev' branding.&nbsp;TATA.ev is the company's new brand identity for its lineup of electric vehicles in India, underscoring its commitment to&nbsp;accelerate the adoption of clean energy mobility solutions. In order to distinguish it from its ICE counterpart, the electric version of the Nexon facelift now bears the '.ev' moniker as a badge, making it the first car to embody this logo. The pre-facelift Nexon EV had an 'EV' suffix.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Although the Tata Nexon.ev continues to maintain the same silhouette, it includes some new design elements.&nbsp;Similar to the Curvv concept vehicle, the Nexon.ev facelift receives&nbsp;a full-width LED light bar and&nbsp;V-shaped LED taillights with a sleek LED strip at the rear.&nbsp;Other design updates include a big&nbsp;grille on the lower bumper, a split headlamp design, sequential LED DRLs, sleek black fog lamp housings, a black panel at the centre, a coupe-style roof, a faux-silver skid plate, and new low-rolling resistance wheels for&nbsp;more range.&nbsp;Furthermore, the electric derivative comes with dual-tone exterior colour options, which are Empowered Oxide, Flame Red, Pristine White, Fearless Purple, Creative Ocean, Intensi Teal, and Daytona Grey. Meanwhile, the upper portion of the car's nose&nbsp;gets a single-tone body-coloured finish.</p>

<h2>Tata Nexon EV Facelift: Interior</h2>

<p>Inside, the Nexon.ev EV facelift offers updates in the form of a new dashboard similar to the recently unveiled ICE counterpart, a class-leading 12.3-inch touchscreen,&nbsp;a new 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster,&nbsp;a new two-spoke steering wheel, a 9-speaker JBL audio system with multiple audio modes, connected car tech, a redesigned rotary dial, touch-based HVAC controls, a wireless charger, cooled front seats,&nbsp;and thinner AC vents. For greater comfort, the car&nbsp;gets a cooled glovebox, rear seat armrest, 350-litre boot space, cruise control, and an electric sunroof.&nbsp;</p>

<p>A host of safety features includes ESP as standard, ABS, a 360-degree camera, Level 1 ADAS features, six airbags as standard, a blind view monitor, ISOFIX mounts, front parking sensors, all-wheel disc brakes, 3-point seat belts for all, and more.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Tata Nexon EV Facelift: Powertrain, Performance</h2>

<p>Mechanically, the facelifted model will continue to be&nbsp;offered with two battery sizes - a 30.2kWh for the Nexon.ev MR (Medium Range)&nbsp;and a 40.5kWh for the Nexon.ev LR (Long Range). The former produces 127bhp and&nbsp;215Nm of peak torque, while&nbsp;the latter generates&nbsp;141bhp of power&nbsp;and&nbsp;215Nm. Tata has equipped the car with a new Gen2 permanent magnet synchronous motor, which is said to be lighter, cleaner, and more efficient.</p>

<p>The MR and the LR will yield&nbsp;a driving range of 325km (MIDC) and 465km (MIDC)&nbsp;on a single charge, respectively. Both variants of the Nexon.ev facelift will support 7.2kWh fast charging, while also offering a vehicle 2 load and&nbsp;vehicle-to-vehicle charging function for the first time. This means that the car can power other devices and another EV with an onboard electric battery. Tata says that the electric derivative can sprint from 0 to 100km/h in 8.9 seconds and tops out at 150km/h, thanks to better aerodynamics.</p>

<h2>Tata Nexon EV Facelift: Competition Check</h2>

<p>The new&nbsp;Nexon.ev facelift&nbsp;is&nbsp;expected to cost more than the previous version&nbsp;due to various improvements. In terms of market rivalry, the Nexon EV facelift will continue to compete with the Mahindra XUV400, the MG ZS EV, and other similar models.</p>

<p>Besides, the Indian manufacturer has plans to&nbsp;introduce 3 other electric SUVs, including the Punch EV, the Harrier EV, and the Curvv EV, by the beginning of 2024. According to the company, these new electric vehicles will be introduced for Tata Motors PV division within the next few quarters. The Nexon EV facelift will be launched in India on&nbsp;the 14th of September 2023, while&nbsp;the latter three will make&nbsp;their debut in the first quarter of the following fiscal year.&nbsp;</p>
