Nissan has given a mid-lifecycle refresh to its small SUV – the Juke – for 2024. Along with a heavily revised interior, the model gets a new variant called the N-Sport. Other prominent highlights include the revival of the first-gen model's iconic exterior yellow paint scheme. The mechanical components of the car, however, remain unchanged. According to Nissan, the car's enhancements are a result of user feedback. In India, we don’t get the Nissan Juke as of now. However, it is expected to come here by 2025. With deliveries scheduled to start in the upcoming months, production of the Nissan Juke Facelift has already begun at the UK's Sunderland Plant. The prices of the car will be announced soon. So, let's look at the key specifications of the model.

<h2>2024 Nissan Juke: What's New Inside?</h2>

As mentioned earlier, the car's interior has undergone significant modifications. A new 12.3-inch infotainment display, replacing the previous 8-inch panel, now sits atop the revised dashboard. This larger display is positioned closer to the driver for improved access to controls. Moreover, it comes as a standard feature and can be paired with a brand-new customisable 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The upgraded system also incorporates enhanced voice recognition technology and supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

Other features of the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/nissan/">Nissan</a> model include a larger glovebox, a wireless charging pad, a redesigned centre armrest, an electric handbrake, and USB-A and USB-C outlets for every passenger. These enhancements contribute to a more convenient and enjoyable driving experience.

<h2>2024 Nissan Juke: Exterior and New Variant Details</h2>

Aside from the striking yellow paint scheme, the car's exterior is virtually unaltered. However, the Juke now introduces a new top-of-the-line N-Sport trim, which complements the new paintwork with black-coloured painted parts such as the roof, pillars, grille, wheels, wheel arches, and mirrors. Inside, the version features a Juke insignia on the seats, matching recycled Alcantara inserts, and yellow seaming.

<h2>2024 Nissan Juke: Engine</h2>

The Nissan Juke hasn’t changed mechanically, which means the same two powertrain options are still offered. The first is a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, which delivers 113bhp and up to 200Nm. It gets a 6-speed manual and 7-speed dual-clutch as transmission options. Then, there’s a more potent hybrid version featuring a 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine with 92bhp and a 47bhp electric motor. In addition to a 1.2kWh water-cooled battery, this version features a multi-mode automatic gearbox, which propels the front axle.

As mentioned, the Nissan Juke will likely enter India by next year. Currently, the automaker offers only one product in our market—the Nissan Magnite SUV. <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/nissan-magnite-amt-launched-at-rs-650-lakh-in-india-claims-197kml-mileage-114878/">Last year, the Magnite SUV received a 5-speed AMT transmission with its NA engine</a>.

Nissan Juke Facelift Globally Debuts With Bigger Infotainment Unit and More Tech

While there are no mechanical changes, the new Nissan Juke comes with a host of interior upgrades, including a brand-new 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment unit.

Nissan will globally launch the Qashqai, Juke, and X-Trail in electric avatars. The carmaker has decided to bring the electric versions of the SUVs in an effort to make sure that EVs account for a major share of its global sales by 2030. According to industry reports, the electric models will be sold globally alongside the e-Power trims. All three of these anticipated Nissan EVs will purportedly ride on the CMF-EV – an EV-specific platform of the Common Module Family (CMF) family developed by the Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi Alliance. This platform was first employed on the all-electric Ariya SUV and currently serves as the foundation for the Renault Megane E-Tech Electric. Coming to the existing models, the Juke is underpinned by the smaller CMF-B platform, found in the Renault Clio, while the Qashqai and X-Trail use the larger CMF-CD platform.

The Nissan Ariya's 90kWh battery pack has a range of 501km. These upcoming EVs will probably have batteries with much longer ranges and faster charging periods. They won't arrive until 2028 and will not use any of Nissan's solid-state battery technologies. In the upcoming SUVs, the range and charging speeds will both be significantly increased, thanks to the new cells. Moreover, they will also have enhanced motor technology, with peak power and torque outputs of more than 239bhp and 300Nm of the single-motor Ariya. Each vehicle's range will further be increased via improved energy recovery and efficiency.

Nissan unveiled the current iterations of the X-Trail, Qashqai, and Juke SUVs as potential CBU versions in October 2022. According to the firm, the X-Trail will be launched in India, whereas the other two are still in consideration. The Ariya EV comes with two different powertrains in international markets – a single-motor RWD and a twin-motor 4WD. While they have the same torque output, the two battery packs – 63kWh and 87kWh – produce 217bhp and 242bhp. Notably, the top-spec models with the 87kWh battery pack offer 306bhp and 600Nm, along with a 513km of driving range.

All-electric Nissan Qashqai, X-Trail and Juke to Mark Global Debut by 2025-27

Nissan will introduce the electric versions of the  Qashqai, Juke, and X-Trail on a global platform. For India, the carmaker has not shared any plans as of now. The upcoming SUVs will contribute to the company's global EV sales by 2030.

The Juke is expected to take on the Creta and company; the Qashqai will go after bigger SUVs like the Harrier; the X-Trail will take on the more premium segment occupied by the likes of the Tucson.

<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/nissan/x-trail/">Nissan India</a> has been raking in the numbers with its sub-4 metre SUV, the Magnite. And now, the company has revealed future plans to take on new SUV segments. In the coming two years, the Japanese marque is expected to take on the newer and higher segments with three new SUVs – the Juke, Qashqai, and X-Trail.

Juke

The Juke is the smallest of the three SUVs revealed by Nissan and is powered by a 1.0-litre 3-Cylinder Turbo-petrol engine. There will be an electric motor onboard as well to provide an extra boost. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCT. However, chances are that the Juke will arrive last in India, as Nissan is yet to begin testing it in India.

Qashqai

The <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/nissan/qashqai/">Qashqai</a> will be the mid-segment SUV, which will take on popular models like the Creta, Seltos, Kushaq, and Taigun. Nissan has already been testing it in India. It will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine, along with electric technology.

X-Trail

The <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/nissan/x-trail/">X-Trail</a> name will be received with the most enthusiasm from Indian buyers, as until eight years ago, this SUV was actually sold in India. The X-Trail will be available with multiple powertrains options, which will include electrified versions and versions with all-wheel drive. The X-Trail is currently undergoing testing in India.

With the unveiling of three new SUVs, it’s clear that Nissan is planning to focus on SUVs to woo Indian car buyers. As for the exact timelines of the launch of these vehicles, Nissan is yet to give an update on that.
