<p>Cadillac has unveiled the Optiq, a fully electric SUV that will serve as the foundation for the brand's re-entry into the European market.&nbsp;The Optiq is set to launch in the US this autumn and will be available for purchase in over ten markets, including Europe later this year.&nbsp;The SUV is marketed as 'the electrifying new luxury entry point for the next generation of EV buyers.'&nbsp;It will be joined by the&nbsp;Lyriq SUV&nbsp;as part of parent company General Motors' intentions to return to Europe seven years after its departure. The company&nbsp;described the Optiq as 'remaining true to Cadillac’s brand promise in a competitively priced luxury SUV.'</p>

<h2>2025 Cadillac Optiq: Powertrain Options</h2>

<p>Twin electric motors, which can produce a combined 296bhp&nbsp;and 481Nm&nbsp;of torque, will be standard on the Optiq. While it's a little less than the single-motor RWD Lyriq, it's still a pleasant improvement over the 284bhp&nbsp;dual-motor Equinox. Cadillac has disclosed the Optiq's battery capacity as 85kWh, which is a first for the firm, instead of citing the proprietary "modules" figure.</p>

<p>Although the range is marginally greater, this battery is the same as that found in the Equinox EV. The Optiq can travel 483 km&nbsp;on a single charge, but the Equinox AWD can only travel 463 km. Cadillac claims that the Optiq can add 127 km&nbsp;of range in 10 minutes, although it has not disclosed the maximum charging speed. This is comparable to the 150 kW peak charging speed of the Equinox. The car comes with a dual-level charge connection that enables Level 1 or Level 2 charging at home. Although the home charging speeds are not stated, they are probably the same 11.5 kW (or optional 19.2 kW) as the Chevy.</p>

<h2>2025 Cadillac Optiq: Design</h2>

<p>Cadillac initially unveiled the car&nbsp;in a striking orange paint job, most likely the same Afterburner Tintcoat that the Hummer EV is offered in. However, the company has since included images of a silver Optiq to showcase a more understated option. The manufacturer&nbsp;designed a Black Crystal Grille for the front end that combines a laser-etched pattern with a vertical lighting signature.</p>

<p>The rear end features&nbsp;split&nbsp;taillights, giving the car a distinct parting mark.&nbsp;Walking up to the car with the key initiates a coordinated lighting sequence on both ends. Other distinctive stylistic features comprise a fixed glass roof that flows from glass to metal and a unique Cadillac Crest graphic in the quarter panel window.</p>

<p>Inside, the Optiq has a massive centre screen, similar to the rest of the Cadillac EV series. This screen, which measures 33 inches, is identical to the one present in the&nbsp;more expensive Lyriq.&nbsp;PaperWood veneers, which are composed of equal parts recycled newspaper and tulip wood, and woven yarn seat embellishments, which are crafted entirely of recycled materials, are two further interior highlights.&nbsp;Each unit of the car&nbsp;will come equipped with a 19-speaker AKG audio system featuring Dolby Atmos. Customers will also get three years of free access to the Super Cruise adaptive driver&nbsp;assistance system. Other safety features include&nbsp;autonomous lane-changing capabilities and a steering-wheel light bar.</p>

<h2>2025 Cadillac Optiq: Expected Price and Production Timeline</h2>

<p>There are two trim levels available for the Cadillac Optiq: Sport and Luxury. The starting can be roughly around&nbsp;USD 54,000 (about Rs 45 lakh), although it's unclear how much more expensive it can go with options.&nbsp;Cadillac might also decide to manufacture an affordable variant with a single powertrain.&nbsp;</p>
