Porsche, the parent company of Porsche Design, is celebrating its 75th anniversary this year. The celebrations will continue throughout the year 2023, which started with a spectacular show during this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed in June. As a token of their thanks, the accessories company has released the Chronograph 1 watch. On July 15, the first of just 475 examples of the watch went on sale for USD 11,000. Like a vintage Porsche watch, the dial of this new commemorative wristwatch is black with white accents, and the case is titanium coated with black titanium carbide. There are two different strap options: a standard black leather strap&nbsp;and a fabric strap with blue and red stitching to match Porsche's 75th-anniversary emblem.

<h2>What's Special About This Watch?</h2>

The limited edition number&nbsp;and the 75 years emblem are engraved on the case back. The winding rotor has the form of a traditional Fuchs wheel with five spokes. with the Porsche emblem in the centre. The watch comes with a leather core and a textile outer band. It has a crimson stripe and light blue stitching. Additionally, there is a black leather strap with matching stitching. Easy replacement of straps is possible because of the&nbsp;quick-change mechanism.

Similar to the stopwatch in the Mission X electric supercar concept vehicle, the Chronograph 1 - 75 Years Porsche Edition has a retro-futuristic design. The car made its premiere in June 2023 as the brand's 75th-anniversary celebration. The model's exterior takes some modern design influences from the original 917. Inside, the digital cockpit includes a tribute to the vintage watch.

<h2>Porsche Concept Car: The Mission X</h2>

To honour its 75th year as a leading manufacturer of sports vehicles, Porsche unveiled its latest concept car, the Mission X, back in June. The Mission X is a concept for sleek, lightweight, and battery-powered sports cars that we may see on the market in upcoming years by the German brand. It is not for sale right now, but a production decision will be made at some point.

The Mission X is a hypercar that is relatively small in size at 4,496mm in length and 1,999mm in width. Its 2,728mm wheelbase gives it the same proportions as the Carrera GT and the 918 Spyder. The concept car's wheels have a staggered size of 20 inches up front and 21 inches at the rear for aerodynamic purposes.&nbsp;

Given the company's focus on lightweight construction, it's safe to assume it's in the 1400 – 1500kgs range, which is typical for a modern 911. Therefore, the power output should be close to 1500bhp. Porsche claims the batteries will be located where the engine normally sits in a mid-engined hypercar, i.e. behind the rear seats. The 'e-core' architecture, which is comparable to Porsche's Mission R, allows for a lower floor than with a normal battery skateboard chassis and also helps to centre the mass of the car, improving its handling.&nbsp;

The Chronograph 1 - 75 Years Porsche Edition is a limited-edition watch driven by a Porsche Design calibre, the WERK 01.140. Only 475 pieces of the Chronograph 1 - 75 Years Porsche Edition will be made.

Soon after introducing the world to the ultimate iteration of the Boxster in the shape of the very special 718 Spyder RS, Porsche has released a limited edition clock to match. The Porsche 718 Spyder RS will be the final 718 vehicle powered by a petrol engine. Priced at a whopping USD 162,150, the Porsche 718 Spyder is essentially a Cayman GT4 RS with its top removed. The fabric roof is retractable and operated by the driver, giving the car the allure of open-air driving. The Chronograph 718 Spyder RS is a limited-edition timepiece made by hand in Solothurn, Switzerland, and is sold only to automobile buyers. The Porsche Design Chronograph 718 Spyder RS has a casing made of titanium that is both lightweight and customizable in a variety of ways.

<h2>Porsche Design Chronograph 718 Spyder RS</h2>

As was previously noted, the Porsche Design Chronograph 718 Spyder RS is housed in a lightweight and versatile titanium case. The casing is available in natural titanium or black titanium, and the dial's coloured ring is available in both conventional and metallic sheens. With the Paint to Sample service, those who wish to stand out may have the dial finished in any of 114 different colours.

The new chronograph also has a carbon 'RS' dial and a black 'GT' dial with seven layers of anti-reflective coating to prevent scratches and glare. At 9 o'clock, a little mechanical gear indicator incorporates a chequered flag motif.

A black leather watchband is also included, with an attachment made from the same black Race-Tex fabric that lines the 718 Spyder interior. Customers have the option of switching out the leather strap for a titanium bracelet.

The price tag is understandably steep since the chronograph is exclusive to the 718 Spyder RS. The base price is $8,800 (Rs 7,23,048), but the cost goes up with more features and personalisation.

<h2>Porsche 718 Spyder RS</h2>

In most ways, the 2024 Porsche 718 Spyder RS resembles the 718 Cayman. It includes two wide doors with frameless windows, 20-inch forged wheels, and a fabric canopy that is removable and manually controlled. The inside has a vibrant two-tone design. Standard features include lightweight carbon fibre racing bucket seats with a carbon-weave finish, leather upholstery in Arctic Grey and Carmine Red, a flat-bottomed steering wheel with paddle shifters, fabric door straps, and an all-digital instrument cluster.

The same 4.0-litre naturally aspirated six-cylinder Boxer engine seen in the 911 GT3 powers the 2024 Porsche 718 Spyder RS. The engine has been fine-tuned to produce 493bhp and 450Nm of peak torque. A 7-speed PDK gearbox performs gearbox duties. The Porsche 718 Spyder RS can match the Cayman GT4 RS's acceleration times of 3.4 seconds to 100km/h and 10.9 seconds to 200km/h. Its peak speed is 308km/h, which is about 7km/h slower than the coupe.
