Renault Kwid, Triber, Kiger Night & Day Editions Launched in India, Prices Start at Rs 5 Lakh

The price of the Renault Kwid Night & Day Edition remains the same as the Kwid RXL (O) variant it is based on, while the Kiger and the Triber Night & Day Limited Editions command a premium of up to Rs 20,000 over their corresponding RXL variants.

<p>The India-made Renault Triber, targeted for African markets, underwent safety crash testing&nbsp;conducted by the Global New Car Assessment Program (GNCAP). Although Triber&nbsp;received a 4-star crash test rating in 2021, it scored&nbsp;only&nbsp;two stars&nbsp;under&nbsp;new rules and regulations.&nbsp;Due to insufficient chest protection for the driver and passenger in frontal and side-impact&nbsp;testing, it was penalised points. The Triber got 22.29 out of 34 points for Adult Occupant Protection (AOP).</p>

<p>Furthermore, the car&nbsp;received&nbsp;19.99 out of 49 points for Child Occupant Protection (COP)&nbsp;since it lacked&nbsp;ISOFIX anchorages.&nbsp;During a forward crash, the head of the 3-year-old&nbsp;dummy was left exposed, and its neck and chest were not sufficiently protected.&nbsp;The 18-month-old child seat, mounted rearward-facing with the adult belt, successfully prevented head exposure after a frontal crash, providing complete protection.
