<p>Royal Enfield's total sales volume declined by 8% year-on-year in May, owing mostly to sluggish domestic market sales. In April, the renowned&nbsp;motorcycle manufacturer sold 81,870 motorcycles, but the total sales fell to 71,010 units in May, compared to 77,461 units&nbsp;sold in the same month last year.&nbsp;The drop is mostly attributable to a 13% decrease in sales of models with engine capacities up to 350cc, which plummeted to 59,852 units. In comparison, models with engine displacements larger than 350cc had a notable 32% rise in sales, amounting to 11,158 units.&nbsp;With 7,479 units sold in May&nbsp;last year, Royal Enfield's exports increased by 12% year-over-year (YoY) from 6,666 units sold in the same month the previous year.</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield Year-to-Date Sales</h2>

<p>Compared to over 1.50 lakh&nbsp;units sold during the same period previous fiscal year, the bikemaker's year-to-date sales grew by 2% to about&nbsp;1.53 lakh&nbsp;units between April and May 2024.&nbsp;However, sales of bikes under 350cc were down by 1% to approximately&nbsp;1.33 lakh&nbsp;units, compared to around 1.34&nbsp;lakh units sold during the same period last year. Lastly, there was a&nbsp;31% increase in exports from 10,921 units sold in FY2024 to 14,311 units between April and May&nbsp;of this fiscal year.</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield&nbsp;Guerilla 450</h2>

<p>The Guerrilla 450 is propelled by the well-known 452cc&nbsp;single-cylinder, liquid-cooled&nbsp;Sherpa series engine,&nbsp;with 39.4bhp of maximum power&nbsp;and 40Nm of peak torque. The setup&nbsp;comes equipped with a slip-and-assist clutch and a six-speed gearbox.&nbsp;The Guerrilla 450 will likely include features&nbsp;such as&nbsp;a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, navigation, all&nbsp;LED lighting, and contemporary&nbsp;switchgear. In terms of price, the upcoming model&nbsp;is expected to cost less than the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which is priced at Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch,&nbsp;the bike will rival&nbsp;the likes of the&nbsp;Triumph <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/triumph/speed-400/">Speed 400</a>, Husqvarna <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/husqvarna/svartpilen-401/">Svartpilen 401</a>, Hero <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/hero/mavrick-440/">Mavrick 440</a>,&nbsp;Harley-Davidson <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/harley-davidson/x440/">X440</a>, and&nbsp;KTM <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/390-duke/">390 Duke</a>.&nbsp;</p>
