<h2>Royal Enfield Sales: July 2024</h2>

<p>As of July 2024, there were 6,057 units exported and 61,208 units sold domestically. In contrast, the same figures&nbsp;were 7,055 and 66,062 units, respectively, in July 2023. So, while exports decreased by 14%, domestic sales suffered a 7% dip.</p>

<p>In terms of year-to-date data, sales for 2023–2024 stood at over&nbsp;2.73 lakh&nbsp;units, while sales for 2024–2025 were nearly 2.65 lakh&nbsp;units. This represents a 3% decline. Overall sales decreased from more than 3 lakh&nbsp;units to about 2.94 lakh&nbsp;units, a 2%&nbsp;overall decrease. Notably, the exports increased by 28,278 units to 27,590 units in the same time frame.</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield Borderless Warranty&nbsp;Programme</h2>

<p>Additionally, <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/industry-news/royal-enfield-introduces-borderless-warranty-program-heres-what-new-117938/">Royal Enfield just introduced the Borderless Warranty Program</a>.&nbsp;It is supported by a global network of more than 3,000 authorised Royal Enfield service touchpoints located in more than 70 countries.</p>

<p>The initiative allows riders to claim the warranty on their <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/royal-enfield/">Royal Enfield</a> while travelling abroad from the company's dealers and service centres. The global warranty program applies to all new Royal Enfield motorcycles and already-purchased ones currently covered under warranty. It does not apply to bikes privately imported into other nations.</p>

Royal Enfield YoY Sales Decline by 8% in July, Sells 73,177 units

Last month, Royal Enfield sold 73,117 units overall. Meanwhile, in July 2023, the Chennai-based two-wheeler manufacturer sold a total of 67,265 units.

<p>Royal Enfield's total sales volume declined by 8% year-on-year in May, owing mostly to sluggish domestic market sales. In April, the renowned&nbsp;motorcycle manufacturer sold 81,870 motorcycles, but the total sales fell to 71,010 units in May, compared to 77,461 units&nbsp;sold in the same month last year.&nbsp;The drop is mostly attributable to a 13% decrease in sales of models with engine capacities up to 350cc, which plummeted to 59,852 units. In comparison, models with engine displacements larger than 350cc had a notable 32% rise in sales, amounting to 11,158 units.&nbsp;With 7,479 units sold in May&nbsp;last year, Royal Enfield's exports increased by 12% year-over-year (YoY) from 6,666 units sold in the same month the previous year.</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield Year-to-Date Sales</h2>

<p>Compared to over 1.50 lakh&nbsp;units sold during the same period previous fiscal year, the bikemaker's year-to-date sales grew by 2% to about&nbsp;1.53 lakh&nbsp;units between April and May 2024.&nbsp;However, sales of bikes under 350cc were down by 1% to approximately&nbsp;1.33 lakh&nbsp;units, compared to around 1.34&nbsp;lakh units sold during the same period last year. Lastly, there was a&nbsp;31% increase in exports from 10,921 units sold in FY2024 to 14,311 units between April and May&nbsp;of this fiscal year.</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield&nbsp;Guerilla 450</h2>

<p>The Guerrilla 450 is propelled by the well-known 452cc&nbsp;single-cylinder, liquid-cooled&nbsp;Sherpa series engine,&nbsp;with 39.4bhp of maximum power&nbsp;and 40Nm of peak torque. The setup&nbsp;comes equipped with a slip-and-assist clutch and a six-speed gearbox.&nbsp;The Guerrilla 450 will likely include features&nbsp;such as&nbsp;a five-inch TFT display with smartphone connectivity, navigation, all&nbsp;LED lighting, and contemporary&nbsp;switchgear. In terms of price, the upcoming model&nbsp;is expected to cost less than the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, which is priced at Rs 2.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Upon launch,&nbsp;the bike will rival&nbsp;the likes of the&nbsp;Triumph <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/triumph/speed-400/">Speed 400</a>, Husqvarna <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/husqvarna/svartpilen-401/">Svartpilen 401</a>, Hero <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/hero/mavrick-440/">Mavrick 440</a>,&nbsp;Harley-Davidson <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/harley-davidson/x440/">X440</a>, and&nbsp;KTM <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ktm/390-duke/">390 Duke</a>.&nbsp;</p>


Royal Enfield YoY Domestic Sales Dip 8% in May with 71,010 Units

Compared to over 1.50 lakh units sold during the same period previous fiscal year, Royal Enfield's year-to-date sales grew by 2% to about 1.53 lakh units between April and May 2024. 

<p>Royal Enfield has released its February sales numbers. Last month, the Chennai-based manufacturer sold 75,935 motorcycles overall, marking a 6 per cent increase over the 71,544 units sold in the same period the previous fiscal year. In comparison to 64,436 units delivered in February 2023, domestic sales saw a 5 per cent surge to 67,922 units in February 2024. In contrast to the comparable month the previous year, when 7,108 units were sold, exports rose 13 per cent to 8,013 units in February this year.</p>

<p>Speaking on the firm's&nbsp;sales performance for February, B Govindarajan, CEO, Royal Enfield said, “Over the last few months, while our new motorcycle launches have done exceedingly well, our existing motorcycles have also contributed to our strong growth momentum across bookings and retails. Last month, as well, our bookings and retails continued to grow at healthy levels. In February we also celebrated one year of the launch of our thoroughbred cruiser, The Super Meteor 650, which was marked by nationwide community get-togethers and rides. As we come to the close of the financial year, we are confident of a strong and healthy overall performance, and believe that we can continue this momentum for the next year as well.”</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield Sales Figures: February 2024</h2>

<p>With 7.69 lakh&nbsp;units sold, the brand's total YTD sales in the home market alone increased by 14 per cent&nbsp;from 6.75 lakh&nbsp;units sold the previous year. In terms of Year-Over-Year (YoY) sales, the renowned&nbsp;bikemaker sold 67,922 units in the domestic market last month, representing a 5 per cent&nbsp;increase over the 67,922 units it sold in February 2023.</p>

<p>In addition, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/royal-enfield/">Royal Enfield's</a> export volume increased by 13 per cent&nbsp;to 8,013 units last month from 7,108 in February last year. In February 2024, the manufacturer&nbsp;sold 75,935 units overall, a 6 per cent&nbsp;YoY increase over the 71,544 units it sold in the same month the previous year.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>The 350cc Lineup Rules the Charts</h2>

<p>The majority of Royal Enfield's sales continue to be generated by its 350cc series, which includes the Classic 350, the&nbsp;Bullet 350, the&nbsp;Hunter 350, and the&nbsp;Meteor 350. The company has its headquarters in Chennai. Notably, out of the 64,810 units sold in February of last year, 66,157 bikes in the 350cc range were shipped last month, representing a 2 per cent&nbsp;YoY increase.</p>

<p>The remaining models, particularly the 650cc range that includes the Interceptor, the Continental GT, the Super Meteor, and the Shotgun, as well as the Himalayan 450 and the Scram 411, together produced a monthly sales volume of 9,778 units in February. The company&nbsp;sold 6,734 motorcycles&nbsp;from this category&nbsp;in the same time frame, contributing to this year's noteworthy 45 per cent&nbsp;YoY gain.</p>

<h2>The New Launches</h2>

<p>The <a href="https://www.autox.com/reviews/bike-reviews/royal-enfield-shotgun-650-first-ride-review-best-big-royal-enfield-till-date-115848/">Shotgun 650</a>, which ranges in price from Rs 3.59 lakh to Rs 3.73 lakh, went on sale at the beginning of the year. Both prices are ex-showroom figures.&nbsp;In the upcoming months, Royal Enfield will introduce a number of models, including the Bobber 350, the Scram 450, the Roadster 450, and the Scrambler 650.</p>


Classic 350, Bullet 350, Hunter 350 and More Assist Royal Enfield Register 6% YoY Sales Growth in February

The Shotgun 650, which ranges in price from Rs 3.59 lakh to Rs 3.73 lakh, went on sale at the beginning of the year. Both prices are ex-showroom figures. In the upcoming months, the firm will launch the Bobber 350, the Scram 450, the Roadster 450, and the Scrambler 650.

<p>Royal Enfield has recorded its total sales of&nbsp;76,187 units (domestic + exports) in January 2024, with 1.93&nbsp;per cent growth in the corresponding period of the last financial year (74,746 units: January 2023). The Chennai-based bikemaker reported a 4 per cent increase in domestic sales at 70,556 units in January. It sold&nbsp;67,702 units in the same period a year ago. However, a look at its domestic sales of&nbsp;December 2023 tells us that Royal Enfield delivered&nbsp;57,291 units across India, while the&nbsp;total sales of the company stood at&nbsp;63,387 units. Meanwhile, the exports in January 2024 were 5,631 units as&nbsp;against&nbsp;7,044 units in January 2023, posting a decrease of 20 per cent.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield's YTD Sales</h2>

<p>In terms of year-to-date (YTD),&nbsp;the company sold a total of&nbsp;7,00,829 units&nbsp;in the domestic market in the&nbsp;financial year 2023–24, representing a growth of&nbsp;15 per cent&nbsp;compared to&nbsp;6,10,520 units sold in FY2022–23.&nbsp;However, the exports for FY2023–24 stood at&nbsp;60,417 units,&nbsp;which is a de-growth of 25&nbsp;per cent as opposed to&nbsp;80,596 units exported in&nbsp;FY2022-23.&nbsp;As for its total sales, the YTD&nbsp;2023–24&nbsp;witnessed a 10 per cent increase to&nbsp;7,61,246 units,&nbsp;in comparison to 6,91,116&nbsp;units sold in the YTD 2022–23.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield's Upcoming Models</h2>

<p>At the recently concluded&nbsp;Bharat Mobility Expo in New&nbsp;Delhi, Royal Enfield displayed <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/bharat-mobility-expo-royal-enfield-classic-350-flex-fuel-makes-global-debut-in-india-116009/">a flex-fuel version of the Classic 350</a>. Even with ethanol-blended petrol (up to 85 per cent&nbsp;ethanol), the flex-fuel version makes the same&nbsp;20bhp of power&nbsp;at 6,100rpm and 27Nm of peak torque&nbsp;at 4000rpm as the standard version.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Visually, the&nbsp;Royal Enfield&nbsp;Classic 350 Flex Fuel&nbsp;looks almost identical to the standard version, save for a unique green and red paint scheme. The RE Classic 350 Flex Fuel&nbsp;is&nbsp;expected to arrive sometime in 2025 in the country. Currently, the price of the&nbsp;Classic 350 ranges from Rs 1.93 lakh to Rs 2.25&nbsp;lakh (ex-showroom, Chennai).&nbsp;</p>

<p>While the fuel-fuel version of the Classic 350 will arrive in due course of time, the new Hunter 450 could go on sale in India by the end of 2024. The new 450cc bike was spotted on test recently, revealing&nbsp;telescopic forks at the front with fork gaiters and a mono-shock&nbsp;at the rear.</p>

<p>Like the new Himalayan, <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/royal-enfield-hunter-450-spotted-testing-ahead-of-india-launch-shows-round-headlight-alloy-wheels-and-more-115972/">the Hunter 450</a> will likely ditch the conventional central round stop lamp in favour of turn indicators. Other bits could be discs&nbsp;for braking duties, a saree guard, and a bash plate.&nbsp;Coming to the mechanical components, the Hunter 450 will likely use the same single-cylinder liquid-cooled 450cc engine as the Himalayan 450 but, perhaps, with a bit of modification to make it suitable for the roadster.</p>


Royal Enfield Sells Over 70,000 Motorcycles in India in January 2024, Registers 4% YoY Increase

Royal Enfield reported a 4 per cent increase in domestic sales at 70,556 units in January 2024, while it sold 67,702 units in the same period a year ago.

<p>Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment, has&nbsp;reported a 4&nbsp;per cent YoY decline at 57,291 units in its domestic sales in December 2023. In comparison, it sold 59,821 motorcycles in December 2022. The Chennai-based company's total sales (domestic and exports) also dipped by 7 per cent at 63,387 units last month compared to 68,400 units in December 2022. Meanwhile, the exports in December 2023 were&nbsp;6,096 units, as against 8,579 bikes in December 2022.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of year-to-date (YTD),&nbsp;the company sold a total of&nbsp;6,30,273&nbsp;units in the domestic market in the year 2022-23, representing a growth of 16 per cent compared to 5,42,818 units sold in 2021-22. However, the exports for the&nbsp;2022-23 year stood at 54,786 units, which is a de-growth of 26 per cent when compared to&nbsp;2021-22 (73,552 units).&nbsp;As for its total sales, the YTD 2022-23 witnessed&nbsp;an 11 per cent increase to&nbsp;6,85,059 units, in comparison to 6,16,370 units sold in the YTD 2021–22.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In 2023, Royal Enfield launched its all-new Himalayan in India&nbsp;at a&nbsp;price tag of Rs 2.69 lakh to Rs 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom). In addition, it also unveiled&nbsp;the production-spec Shotgun 650 in the US market.</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield Shotgun 650: Styling, Colours, Engine</h2>

<p>Like the&nbsp;factory custom version, the production bike is also powered by a 648cc, parallel-twin cylinder engine, and carries on with a similar design, although it does differ from the Motoverse Edition&nbsp;in terms of colours. The&nbsp;custom-designed Motoverse Edition had&nbsp;an exquisite hand-painted black-blue colour scheme&nbsp;with neon detailing, while the production version comes in 4 different colour options –&nbsp;Sheet Metal Grey,&nbsp;Green Drill, Plasma Blue, and&nbsp;Stencil White.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Other than that, the production-spec&nbsp;Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 appears almost identical to the Motoverse Edition. Based on the&nbsp;Super Meteor 650, the Shotgun 650 gets a bobber-style design, featuring&nbsp;a low-slung stance as well as a single-piece seat with the option to carry a pillion rider.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The production-spec&nbsp;Shotgun 650 uses the same 648cc, parallel-twin cylinder engine as other 650cc siblings, namely the Continental GT, the Interceptor, and the Super Meteor. Mated to a&nbsp;6-speed gearbox, the engine in the Shotgun 650 produces 46bhp at 7,250rpm and 52Nm of peak torque at 5,650rpm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>While the&nbsp;Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 will be launched across international markets in early 2024, we expect the&nbsp;production-spec model&nbsp;to range between Rs 3.50 lakh and Rs 4.0 lakh (ex-showroom).&nbsp;</p>

Royal Enfield Clocks Over 63,000 Total Unit Sales in India during December 2023

Royal Enfield's total sales (domestic + exports) dipped by 7 per cent at 63,387 units last month compared to 68,400 units in December 2022.

<p>Royal Enfield,&nbsp;the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment, has recently reported a 13 per cent YoY (year-over-year)&nbsp;increase in&nbsp;sales at&nbsp;80,251 units in November 2023. It sold&nbsp;70,766 motorcycles in the same period last financial year. With&nbsp;75,137 out of the total 80,251 examples&nbsp;sold, the Indian market contributed a substantial&nbsp;94 per cent to the cumulative sales, while exports made up the rest. In terms of year-over-year&nbsp;sales growth, domestic sales were up 14 per cent last month compared to 65,760 units in November 2022. Exports, on the other hand, grew by a marginal 2 per cent to 5,114 units.&nbsp;</p>

<h2>Royal Enfield's Last Month Launches and Unveils</h2>

<p>Royal Enfield launched the much-awaited all-new Himalayan at Motoverse 2023 in Goa. Ranging&nbsp;from Rs 2.69 lakh to Rs 2.84 lakh (ex-showroom), the&nbsp;Royal Enfield Himalayan&nbsp;comes in three variants – Base, Pass, and Summit.&nbsp;The new&nbsp;bike&nbsp;marked the debut of the company's&nbsp;first, modern, liquid-cooled engine,&nbsp;called&nbsp;the 'Sherpa 450'.&nbsp;Mated to a six-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch, this engine is capable of cranking out 40bhp at 8,000rpm and 40Nm of peak torque at&nbsp;5,500rpm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>At the same event, Royal Enfield showcased a new motorcycle, christened&nbsp;the<a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/royal-enfield-shotgun-650-makes-india-debut-at-motoverse-2023-115354/"> Shotgun 650</a>. Priced at Rs 4.25 lakh (ex-showroom), the two-wheeler&nbsp;is&nbsp;a factory custom motorcycle, of which&nbsp;only 25 units would be produced. While the bikemaker refrained from disclosing technical details of the bike at the event, the engine specifications have been revealed through&nbsp;the Type Approval Certificate&nbsp;from the Delhi Transport Department. Based on the certificate, the&nbsp;Shotgun 650 will use a&nbsp;647.95cc motor, delivering&nbsp;46.4bhp at 7,250rpm.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Moreover, in the very same month, the bikemaker also revealed the electric Himalayan testbed at EICMA. The brand&nbsp;says that the <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/eicma-2023-royal-enfield-him-e-electric-prototype-revealed-115213/">all-electric Him-E</a> is not just a concept but also a 'test laboratory' for promoting sustainable mobility solutions. Its battery, which forms a structural element of the bike, will be designed in-house, while the motor and controller will be outsourced. To ensure that its battery and other components work in both normal and harsh conditions, the Him-E is said to have undergone wind-tunnel testing and real-world prototype testing.&nbsp;</p>
