 Leapmotor’s global EV portfolio is built to serve a wide array of mobility demands, combining practicality with innovation. It features the C10, a full-electric SUV; the C01, a modern, zero-emission sedan; and the T03, a compact, agile runabout designed for dense urban environments.The Leapmotor T03 is powered by a 94bhp front-mounted electric motor delivering 159Nm of torque. It features a 37.3kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a WLTP range of up to 265 km. The T03 accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 12.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 130km/h. The C10 SUV has a rear-mounted electric motor that delivers 214.5bhp of power and 320Nm of torque. It draws energy from a 69.9kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery. The all-electric variant features a 268bhp rear-mounted motor producing 360Nm of torque, paired with a 90kWh NMC battery, delivering up to 717 km CLTC range. The EREV version combines the same 268bhp motor with a 1.5-litre petrol engine acting as a generator and a 43.7kWh battery, providing a pure electric range of up to 316 km.

Leapmotor India Entry Confirmed by Stellantis, to Bring Premium EV Range Soon

In 2024, Leapmotor recorded the delivery of nearly 3 lakh vehicles, achieving double the sales compared to the previous year.

Stellantis India has announced a price hike of 2 per cent across Jeep and Citroen models, effective January 2025. The decision to revise prices is attributed to rising commodity and operational costs. With this adjustment, 'we&nbsp;stand steadfast in our commitment to continue to be focused on providing value, high quality, and a great driving experience to its customers,' said&nbsp;Shailesh Hazela,&nbsp;MD and CEO,&nbsp;Stellantis India.&nbsp;

Jeep, the American manufacturer, currently retails the&nbsp;Compass (Rs 18.99&nbsp;lakh–Rs 32.41 lakh), Meridian (Rs 24.99 lakh–38.49 lakh), Wrangler (Rs 67.65 lakh–Rs 71.65 lakh), and the Grand Cherokee (Rs 67.50 lakh) in India. On the other hand, Citroen India's lineup consists of the C3 (Rs 6.16 lakh–Rs 10.27 lakh), Aircross (Rs 8.49 lakh–Rs 14.55 lakh), Basalt (Rs 7.99 lakh–Rs 13.95 lakh), eC3 (Rs 12.76 lakh–Rs 13.56 lakh), and the C5 Aircross (Rs 39.99 lakh). <h2>Updated Citroen C3 Aircross Gets New Engine, More Features</h2>

Over two months ago, Citroen launched the updated C3 Aircross SUV in India with more features and a new engine option. Alongside, it also dropped the 'C3' prefix from the SUV's name and called it the Aircross. Updates&nbsp;include LED projector headlamps, automatic climate control, powered rear windows, and power-folding outside rearview mirrors, as well as&nbsp;an electronic stability program,&nbsp;a hill-hold function, ISOFIX child seat anchors, and&nbsp;six airbags as standard.

The Aircross also gets a new&nbsp;1.2-litre, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated petrol engine, which makes 81bhp and 115Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The 109bhp, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine continues&nbsp;and comes coupled with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox.

Prices for the Aircross start at Rs 8.49 lakh and go up to Rs 14.55 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). The model goes against the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, and the MG Astor.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Jeep, Citroen Cars to Get Costlier by up to 2% from January 2025

The decision to revise prices across Jeep and Citroen models is driven by rising commodity and operational costs.

<h2>Stellantis STLA Frame: Key Aspects</h2>

The STLA Frame is Stellantis' third modular platform, following the STLA Medium and STLA Large. The company is also working on a fourth platform, the STLA Small, set to debut by 2026. Like the Medium and Large platforms, the STLA Frame is designed to support a variety of powertrains, including internal combustion, hybrid, hydrogen, battery electric, and range-extender vehicles, though the initial models will focus on all-electric and range-extender versions.

The STLA Frame platform is expected to enable EVs with a range of up to 800 km, while range-extender models could achieve up to 1,100 km. It will support payloads up to 1,224 kg and towing capacities of up to 6,350 kg.&nbsp;Vehicles built on the STLA Frame will range from 5,400mm&nbsp;to 6,000mm&nbsp;in length, with wheelbases up to 3,690mm.

In terms of mechanicals, the STLA Frame will be compatible with battery packs ranging from 159 to 200kWh, paired with electric drive modules producing up to 335bhp for all-wheel-drive capability.&nbsp;

The 800V electric systems of the all-electric versions will enable up to 350 kW DC rapid charging, which will add up to 161 km of&nbsp;range&nbsp;in just ten minutes. In contrast, range-extender vehicles will have a 400V electric architecture with a lower rating that supports up to 175 kW DC fast charging. Bi-directional charging will also be supported by the platform, enabling customers to feed electricity back into the grid from their batteries.&nbsp;Stellantis claims that vehicles using this platform can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just 4.4 seconds. Additionally, it will support various suspension systems, including air suspension.

At a joint press&nbsp;conference held today,&nbsp;Stellantis N.V. and Leapmotor announced the formation of Leapmotor International, a joint venture (JV) between Amsterdam-based Stellantis and Chinese EV brand Leapmotor. The joint venture, led by&nbsp;Stellantis with a 51 per cent stake, is set up with exclusive rights for Stellantis to export, sell, and manufacture Leapmotor products outside China, starting with Europe.&nbsp;

As part of the JV's global expansion strategy, Leapmotor will commence its operations in nine European countries in September 2024. These are&nbsp;Belgium, France, Italy, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Romania, Spain, and Portugal, with plans to expand&nbsp;Leapmotor's&nbsp;European sales points to 200 by the end of this year. Although the Chinese EV brand offers only the T03 vehicle in some European markets (including France), the joint venture calls for the launch of five global models in Europe through 2027. The Leapmotor T03 is one of the first models, apart from the C10, planned for export from China.&nbsp;

At the moment, the upcoming Leapmotor models are in the process of securing the homologation certificate. Following this, sales will commence. Beginning in the fourth quarter of 2024, Leapmotor International will expand into South America, the Middle East, Africa,&nbsp;India, and Asia Pacific regions. It will enter the UK in March 2025.&nbsp;

Speaking of India, the&nbsp;Stellantis-led joint venture will launch the&nbsp;T03 hatchback and the C10 <a href="https://www.autox.com/suv-cars-in-india/">SUV</a> first. However, it remains to be seen whether Stellantis will assemble&nbsp;these vehicles in India or import them. Given the 'severe'&nbsp;customs duties or tariffs&nbsp;imported vehicles are subjected to, there is a possibility that Stellantis may choose to take the localisation route.&nbsp;

<h2>Leapmotor T03, C10: Highlights</h2>

The&nbsp;Leapmotor T03 is an&nbsp;&nbsp;A-segment&nbsp;electric hatchback, measuring 3,620mm long, 1,650mm wide, and 1,570mm tall. Powering the hatchback is a 41.3kWh&nbsp;lithium-ion battery&nbsp;with a&nbsp;WLTP-claimed range of 266km. On offer are&nbsp;three driving modes: Sport, Standard, and Economy.&nbsp;Upon arrival in India, it will go against&nbsp;the Tata <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/tata/tiago-ev/">Tiago EV</a>,&nbsp;the MG <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mg/comet-ev/">Comet EV</a>, and the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/citroen/ec3/">Citroen e-C3</a>.

Meanwhile, the&nbsp;Leapmotor&nbsp;C10 is a D-segment electric crossover built on the company's&nbsp;global LEAP3.0 cell-to-chassis (CTC) architecture. It has a&nbsp;WLTP-claimed 420km range and&nbsp;a 5-star E-NCAP safety rating. In terms of market competition, it will be Leapmotor's answer to the likes of the BYD <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/byd/atto-3/">Atto 3</a> and the MG <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/mg/zs-ev/">ZS EV</a>.&nbsp;

Other than these two,&nbsp;Stellantis will introduce&nbsp;at least one new model per year over the next three years, including&nbsp;a new B-segment <a href="https://www.autox.com/hatchback-cars-in-india/">hatchback</a>, a B-segment SUV, a C-segment hatchback and a C-segment SUV.&nbsp;

Stellantis to Sell Leapmotor Models Globally, India Entry in Q4 2024 with These EVs

Leapmotor plans to enter the Indian market in Q4 2024 with the T03 electric hatchback (with a 266km range) and the C10 electric SUV (with a 420km range).

Stellantis India, the group formed by the merger of&nbsp;the PSA Group and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles,&nbsp;has announced a price hike of 0.5 per cent across all&nbsp;Citroen models and for select SUVs (Compass, Meridian)&nbsp;sold under the Jeep brand. Effective April 30, 2024,&nbsp;the quantum of the price hike will range from Rs 4,000 to Rs 17,000.&nbsp;Stellantis cited increased input costs and operational expenditures as reasons for the hike.&nbsp;

In its official statement, Stellantis said, "The modest price adjustment reflects the current economic realities and enables the company to continue delivering innovative vehicles to its valued customers. Stellantis remains committed to delivering high-quality vehicles to its customers while ensuring the sustainability and competitiveness of its operations."

<h2>Citroen Lineup in India</h2>

Presently, Citroen India's lineup consists of the C3, eC3, C3 Aircross, and C5 Aircross.&nbsp;The <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/citroen-c3-aircross-suv-launched-at-rs-999-lakh-in-india-bookings-open-for-rs-25000-114609/">C3 Aircross is a relatively new model launched by Citroen in September 2023</a>.&nbsp;At its heart is a&nbsp;1.2-litre Gen3 turbo-petrol engine mated to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or an automatic unit.&nbsp;

For 2024, <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/citroen-basalt-spied-testing-undisguised-in-india-shows-square-shaped-led-headlamps-sloping-roofline-116818/">Citroen has plans to bring in the Basalt SUV-coupe</a>.&nbsp;Based on the C3 Aircross, the&nbsp;Basalt will be Citroen's fourth car under the C-Cubed programme. While we&nbsp;had a clear&nbsp;look at the exterior&nbsp;at the&nbsp;official unveiling in March 2024,&nbsp;the Basalt's interior is yet to be revealed. In terms of mechanicals, expect the same&nbsp;1.2-litre&nbsp;turbo-petrol engine as the C3 Aircross.

<h2>Jeep Lineup in India</h2>

Meanwhile, Jeep retails the Compass, Meridian, Grand Cherokee, and Wrangler in the country. Upon its arrival in India, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/car-news/2024-jeep-wrangler-launched-in-india-at-rs-6765-lakh-gets-larger-infotainment-system-new-safety-features-116917/">updated Wrangler</a> will join the Jeep lineup.&nbsp;Unveiled globally about a year ago, the Jeep Wrangler facelift will arrive on our market with a refreshed design and additional features. Jeep, Citroen to Hike Prices Across Model Range from April 30 in India

Effective April 30, 2024, the quantum of the price hike announced by Stellantis India will range from Rs 4,000 to Rs 17,000. 

Ferrari's worth on the Milan stock exchange has surpassed that of Stellantis, the firm that once used to own it. The stock price of the Italian sports car manufacturer rose by 34% this year, increasing its market value to USD 53.9 billion. The current valuation of Stellantis is $51.48 billion. In 2015, FCA (now Stellantis) detached Ferrari and listed it on the New York Stock Exchange and the Milan Stock Exchange. The initial public selling price per share was USD 52. The stock has increased in value to USD 295.73 per share at the time of writing. The current price of a share of Stellantis is USD 16.22. With 13,221 unit sales, Ferrari set a new milestone, surpassing the previous high of 11,155 unit deliveries in 2020. Ferrari's quarterly deliveries in Q1 2023 were 3,457 units, an increase of 9.7 per cent compared to Q1 2022. The company claims that it has so many orders that it won't be able to fulfill them until 2025.

<h2>Upcoming Ferrari Models</h2>

Three new Ferrari models are scheduled for release this year. According to rumours, one of them will be a track-oriented SF90 Stradale. The 812 Superfast may get a successor. The convertible Ferrari Roma Spider made its debut earlier this year. It's taking the place of the Portofino M in the lineup. The power comes from a twin-turbo 3.9-litre V8 that generates 612bhp and 760Nm of torque. In 3.4 seconds, the car can accelerate from 0 to 100km/h.

Ferrari was, indeed, a division of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles for a very long time. In 1969, Fiat S.p.A. bought 50% of Ferrari and by 1988, had increased its ownership to 90%. However, FCA signalled its aim to spin off Ferrari S.p.A. from the company in October 2014 and initiated the restructuring process a year later, in October 2015.
