This recall affects a total of 388,411 <a href="https://www.autox.com/scooters/">scooters</a> manufactured between April 30, 2022, and December 3, 2022. The company describes this as a precautionary measure and is contacting scooter owners to have their vehicles inspected and, if necessary, repaired at the nearest service centre. The recall addresses potential issues such as engine stalling, starting failure, speed display errors, and the engine not starting. The official recall notice provides further details on these problems, emphasizing the importance of the inspection and potential repairs.&nbsp;

In the recall, Suzuki stated: ‘Since high tension cord which did not meet the drawing requirements (NG) was installed to ignition coil, crack and breakage occurred in high tension cord due to repeated bending caused by engine oscillation during running, resulting in engine stall and starting failure. Further, when a cracked high tension cord is exposed to water, the vehicle speed sensor and throttle position sensor may be damaged by the leaked ignition output, resulting in speed display failure or starting failure.’

Coming to Burgman Street, the scooter is now available in a new&nbsp;Metallic Matte Black No. 2 shade.&nbsp;The majority of the bodywork is painted matte black, which makes the new colour appear rather fascinating. The maroon panels at the bottom of the side panels and in the middle of the front apron provide some contrast to the overall design.&nbsp;Except for&nbsp;new colour&nbsp;options, the 2024 versions of both models&nbsp;are unaltered in all other aspects.

Suzuki Motorcycle India attained its highest-ever domestic sales in October 2023, selling 84,302 units. Moreover, the firm shipped 16,205 vehicles to foreign markets. The two-wheeler manufacturer sold 1,00,507 units in total last month, registering a 14.4% YoY growth from the same period a year ago. With 97,936 units delivered, the manufacturer's overall sales in September this year rose by 13% in comparison to the same month in 2022. In that same period, SMIPL supplied 83,798 units domestically, which was a 16% increase over September of last year. Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., (SMIPL) has disclosed sales figures for the previous month. According to the firm, it sold a total of 88,731 units in April 2023, compared to 71,987 units at the same time last year, which gave it a boost of 23.3% in YoY sales. Domestically, the Japanese manufacturer’s Indian arm sold 67,259 units this April. However, last year in the same month, it only sold 54,327 units, which marks 23.8% domestic sales growth. As far as export goes, the company shipped 21,472 units abroad last month, as opposed to 17,660 units in April 2022, which led to a 21.59% increase in exports. &nbsp;According to the firm, the consistently booming sales are supported by its range of models, including the Access 125, the Gixxer series, and others.

Just last week, we reported that KTM has revised the prices of its model range. Bajaj and Honda too have increased the prices of some of their models. Now, it seems that Suzuki too is following the bandwagon. Priced starting Rs 68,800, the Access 125 now demands Rs 1,700 more than before across all variants. The fully-loaded Special Edition Access 125 with the disc brake option costs Rs 73,400. This is the second time Suzuki has hiked the price of the BS6 Access 125 since its launch in January. At the time, the scooter was introduced at Rs 64,800 for the base trim and the top-end Special Edition carried a sticker price of Rs 69,500.

The increase in price doesn’t bring with it any value addition for the customers. The Access 125 continues to sport the same design and features as before. At the heart, the Access comes with a 124cc air-cooled fuel injected motor that is good for 8.5bhp and 10Nm. Depending on the variant, braking power comes from either drum brakes at both ends or a disc option at the front. CBS is standard across all variants though.

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt&nbsp;Ltd&nbsp;(SMIPL) unveiled the BS-VI iteration of the Access 125 last month, and now, it has also announced the official prices of the scooter. The entry-level variant (Drum Brake + CBS) has been priced at&nbsp;₹64,800 (up from&nbsp;₹58,323), and the top-spec version (Special Edition –&nbsp;Disc Brake + CBS) is priced at&nbsp;₹69,500 (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).

Compared to the standard version, the Access 125 Special Edition (SE) gets black/light brown-coloured plastic panels, burgundy/beige coloured retro seat, black alloy wheels, a USB charging socket (standard), chrome rear-view mirrors, and a SE logo. Further, the SE version of the Access 125 is exclusively available in four colour options (White, Blue, Matte Black, &amp; Matte Bordeaux Red), while the standard version is available in Blue, White, Black, Matte Silver, &amp; Matte Grey.

The single-cylinder air-cooled 125cc motor now produces 8.6bhp (same as before) &amp; 10Nm (vs 10.2Nm) of torque. Suzuki also claims that the&nbsp;BS-VI Access 125 features a longer seat, larger floorboard, and more under-seat storage. However, to increase the storage capacity, Suzuki has reduced the fuel tank capacity from 5.6 litres to 5 litres. In terms of features, the BS-VI version of the Access 125 comes with an LED headlamp, Eco-Assist illumination for&nbsp;the digital metre console, and an external fuel-filler flap.
