Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the all-new&nbsp;GSX-8R&nbsp;middleweight sports bike, which made its global debut at the EICMA 2023. Priced at Rs 9.25 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the&nbsp;Suzuki GSX-8R is offered in three colour options&nbsp;– Metallic Matte Sword Silver, Metallic Triton Blue, and Metallic Matte Black No.2. It will be available at all&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/dealer/suzuki/">Suzuki Bike Zone dealerships</a> across the country.&nbsp;A tribute to the GSX-R, the&nbsp;GSX-8R gets a&nbsp;full-fairing design. There is a vertically stacked LED headlamp cluster with&nbsp;mono-focus LED light technology.&nbsp;Its aerodynamically sculpted bodywork is meant to&nbsp;maximise performance by improving airflow. The sports bike uses forged aluminium separate handlebars and lightweight cast aluminium wheels measuring 17 inches at both ends. The wheels come wrapped in&nbsp;Dunlop RoadSport 2 radial tyres.&nbsp;

Also, the headlamp cowl and the windscreen have been redesigned. Both have been through extensive wind-tunnel testing to improve high-speed stability and reduce wind noise and buffeting, according to <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/suzuki/">Suzuki</a>. The cowl-mounted rearview mirrors are&nbsp;sharp and claim better wind protection and enhanced aerodynamics. The bike also features a slim-looking tail section incorporating the&nbsp;compact LED&nbsp;combination light and fender-mounted&nbsp;LED license plate light. Features-wise, the GSX-8R offers a 5.0-inch colour TFT display,&nbsp;ride-by-wire, low RPM&nbsp;assist,&nbsp;bi-directional quickshifter, traction control, anti-lock braking system (ABS), easy start, and ride modes.

<h2>Suzuki GSX-8R: Powertrain, Hardware</h2>

The GSX-8R gets a&nbsp;776cc parallel-twin liquid-cooled engine that develops 81.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm of peak torque at 6,800rpm. The engine also sends power to the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/suzuki/v-strom-800de/">Suzuki V-Strom 800DE</a> and&nbsp;is mated to a&nbsp;6-speed gearbox, accompanied by&nbsp;an assist-and-slipper clutch. Also available is a&nbsp;2-in-1 exhaust system.&nbsp;

Chassis-wise, the&nbsp;Suzuki GSX-8R uses a&nbsp;steel diamond-style unit, suspended by&nbsp;Showa SFF-BP upside-down front forks and a Showa link-type rear monoshock with preload adjustment.&nbsp;The braking setup is a combination of twin 310mm front discs and a single 240mm rear disc.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Suzuki Motorcycle India has launched the all-new GSX-8R in India. The middleweight sports bike has a full-fairing design, a 776cc parallel-twin engine, and a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.

Bharat Mobility Expo:&nbsp;At the Bharat Mandapam in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, the eagerly awaited Bharat Mobility&nbsp;Expo 2024 officially opened its doors to the public today. Numerous automakers previously announced that they are going to showcase and unveil a wide range of new products.&nbsp;The goal of this three-day spectacle, which runs until February 3, is to demonstrate the strength of the Indian automobile sector internationally.&nbsp;Over 28 of the top OEMs, including Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, Tata Motors, Mahindra, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Hero MotoCorp, Suzuki, Bajaj, TVS, Ashok Leyland, and VECV, are participating in the Expo. <h2>Suzuki V-Strom 800DE</h2>

Starting with the&nbsp;V-Strom 800DE, the vertically stacked LED headlight of the bike&nbsp;gives&nbsp;it a&nbsp;distinct appearance. The visor is both transparent and blacked out, creating a dual-tone aesthetic. The bike also gets a secondary fender beneath it, a wide handlebar with knuckle guards, and a single-piece seat.

Coming to the engine specs, the&nbsp;V-Strom&nbsp;800DE from Suzuki&nbsp;gains a new 776cc DOHC parallel-twin engine that belts out&nbsp;78Nm of peak torque at 6,800rpm and 82bhp of maximum power&nbsp;at 8,500rpm.&nbsp;In addition, the engine has four valves per cylinder and a 270-degree crankshaft, which the bike manufacturer&nbsp;claims will aid in providing traction along with&nbsp;bottom-end torque for off-road activities.&nbsp;The V-Strom 800DE features wire-spoked 21-inch front wheels and 17-inch rear wheels with Dunlop Trailmax Mixtour rubber.&nbsp;

A fully adjustable Showa suspension system with 220mm of ground clearance and 220mm of travel on both ends is another characteristic of the V-Strom 800 DE. The motorcycle&nbsp;combines a steel frame chassis with an aluminum swingarm and a compact&nbsp;profile for better handling. Feature-wise, it&nbsp;boasts&nbsp;a customised 5-inch colour TFT LCD multifunction instrument panel, LED lighting, the Suzuki Traction Control System with G (Gravel) mode and rear ABS cancel mode options, the bi-directional quick shifter, the Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS), a low rpm assist, and a ride-by-wire electronic throttle system.

<h2>Suzuki GSX-8R</h2>

Moving on to the next model, the Suzuki GSX-8R is a middleweight sports bike, underpinned by the same 776cc engine platform as the GSX-8S and the V-Strom 800.&nbsp;The pointed fascia of the model&nbsp;gives it a sporty appearance. Sharp body panels, a transparent visor, and ducts on either side of the headlights make up the front end. The new GSX-8R is equipped with vertically stacked projector LEDs for lighting.&nbsp;Given that it is more focused on sports touring than a comprehensive supersport, the GSX-8R appears somewhat more laid back. In addition to the handlebar being high, the rider triangle is also upright.

Although the engine's exact specs are unknown, it is anticipated that the model&nbsp;will perform similarly to the GSR-8S, putting out about 83bhp of maximum power&nbsp;and 78Nm of peak torque while being coupled to a 6-speed gearbox.&nbsp;The bike also has features like easy start, ABS, ride-by-wire, low rpm assist, traction control, and a bi-directional quickshifter. The Suzuki GSX-8R's gear comprises a steel frame with Showa SFF-BP forks and a connected rear shock. Its brakes consist of one 240mm rear disc and two 310mm front discs.&nbsp;These are mounted on 17-inch cast aluminum wheels fitted with Dunlop RoadSport 2 tyres.

Bharat Mobility Expo: The Suzuki GSX-8R is a middleweight sports bike, underpinned by the same 776cc engine platform as the GSX-8S and the V-Strom 800.

Suzuki Motor Corporation has unveiled two new motorcycles – the GSX-S1000GX and the GSX-8R – at the ongoing EICMA 2023. The former is a sport-touring bike based on the GSX-S1000GT and, therefore, uses the same engine and chassis. However, it comes with quite a few changes to make it stand out, which include a taller stance, a revised Showa electronic suspension setup, and a brawny subframe. Other visual bits include a full fairing, a tall windscreen, hexagonal LED headlights, a chunky rear tyre, and spacious seats for the rider and the pillion passenger.

Powering the new Suzuki GSX-S1000GX is a 999cc inline-four-cylinder engine, which produces 150bhp and 107Nm of peak torque. Transmission duties are taken care of by a 6-speed unit. As for rider aids, the motorcycle offers four electronically controlled damping modes – Hard, Medium, Soft, and a customisable User mode. Furthermore, it gets a 6-axis IMU, which makes it the first model in the GSX-S line-up to feature cornering ABS and traction control.

The sports tourer also gets Suzuki's easy start system, ride-by-wire, bi-directional quick shift, smart cruise control, slope-dependent control, a 6.5-inch full-colour TFT, and a few other bits. The company hasn’t revealed yet if the new Suzuki GSX-S1000GX will enter the Indian market or remain a global product.

<h2>Suzuki GSX-8R Unveiled Too</h2>

The Suzuki GSX-8R, on the other hand, is a middleweight sports bike, underpinned by the same 776cc engine platform as the GSX-8S and the V-Strom 800. While the mechanical specifications of the new sports bike haven't been disclosed yet, expect its 776cc parallel-twin engine with a 270-degree crank to make around 82bhp and 78Nm of peak torque. These figures make it a direct competitor of the Kawasaki Z650, Triumph Street Triple, KTM 790 Duke, and Yamaha MT-07.

A tribute to the GSX-R, the Suzuki GSX-8R comes with a full-fairing design. Its aerodynamically sculpted bodywork is designed to maximise performance by improving airflow. Interestingly, the sports bike features tubular handlebars instead of clip-on bars. Besides, the bike gets a custom 5-inch colour TFT, a Showa SFF-BP USD front fork, and Dunlop’s RoadSport 2 radial tyres. Tipping the scales at 208 kilograms, this bike weighs 6 kilograms more than its naked sibling – the GSX-8S.

Like the GSX-S1000GX, the GSX-8R also gets Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S), ride-by-wire, traction control, bi-directional quick shift, and more. As of now, Suzuki does not offer any 776cc engine-powered motorcycles in the country, but the <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/bike-news/suzuki-v-strom-800-de-marks-global-debut-at-the-2023-japan-mobility-show-115048/">V-Strom 800 DE</a>, which is in the testing phase, is expected to arrive here.
