This new EV is equipped with a 3.07kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate battery paired with a swingarm-mounted motor that delivers 8.49bhp and 15Nm of torque, with a top speed of 71km/h. While exports experienced a slight dip of 1.12%, with a decrease of 2,394 units to 2.10 lakh units, Suzuki's overall performance in FY25 remains strong. Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. (SMIPL), the two-wheeler division of Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, has revealed its sales performance for November 2024. The company recorded total sales of 94,370 units, representing an 8% increase from the 87,096 units sold in November 2023. In the domestic market, SMIPL sold 78,333 units, marking a 7% rise compared to 73,135 units during the same month last year. Exports saw a significant boost, with a 15% growth, reaching 16,037 units in international markets, up from 13,961 units in November 2023.

In October 2024, the bikemaker&nbsp;introduced the GSX-8R, revitalising its large bike segment. The new GSX-8R is available in three colour options: Metallic Matte Sword Silver, Metallic Triton Blue, and Metallic Matte Black no.2, at Suzuki Bike Zones across India.&nbsp;

The GSX-8R is a nod to the GSX-R series, featuring a full-fairing design with a vertically arranged LED headlamp that utilises mono-focus LED lighting. Its bodywork is crafted to enhance aerodynamics, ensuring smoother airflow for better performance. The bike is equipped with forged aluminium handlebars and lightweight 17-inch cast aluminium wheels, fitted with Dunlop RoadSport 2 tyres. The headlamp cowl and windscreen are redesigned and extensively wind-tunnel-tested to improve stability at high speeds, reducing wind noise and buffeting. The cowl-mounted mirrors provide improved aerodynamics and wind protection. The sleek tail section includes a compact LED combination light and a fender-mounted LED license plate light.

Powering the bike is a 776cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine generating 81.8bhp at 8,500rpm and 78Nm of torque at 6,800rpm. This engine is shared with the Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, paired with a six-speed gearbox and an assist-and-slipper clutch. A 2-in-1 exhaust system is also featured. Key amenities&nbsp;include a 5-inch color TFT display, ride-by-wire, low RPM assist, bi-directional quickshifter, traction control, ABS, easy start, and multiple ride modes.

The GSX-8R's frame is a steel diamond-style design, with Showa SFF-BP front forks and a Showa link-type rear monoshock with preload adjustment. Braking is provided by twin 310mm front discs and a single 240mm rear disc. The bike has a 14-litre fuel tank and a kerb weight of 205kg.

In the domestic market, Suzuki Motorcycle India sold 78,333 units last month, marking a 7% rise compared to 73,135 units during the same month last year.

Suzuki Motorcycle India reported its highest-ever total monthly sales of 1,20,055 units, marking&nbsp;a year-over-year (YoY) growth of 19&nbsp;per cent in October&nbsp;2024 over the same period last fiscal. Last month's&nbsp;domestic sales accounted for&nbsp;1,04,940 units, while exports stood at 15,115 units.&nbsp;In comparison, the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation closed October 2023 with cumulative sales of 1,00,057&nbsp;units, while the domestic sales and exports totalled 84,302 and 16,205 units, respectively. Suzuki delivered 1,04,940 two-wheelers to Indian buyers last month, recording its highest-ever monthly sales, against 1,00,057 units in the year-ago period.

In May 2024, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/suzuki/">Suzuki Motorcycle India</a> recorded its highest-ever sales of 1,11,512 two-wheelers, up 22% over the same month the previous year. As opposed to 67,040 units sold in May 2023, it supplied 92,032 units domestically, which is a significant 37% YoY increase. The company sent 19,480 units abroad, witnessing a 19.76% decline from the 24,276 units it shipped the year before. Suzuki Motorcycle India has released its April 2024 sales figures. The manufacturer sold 88,067 units, hitting a record-breaking pace for domestic sales. Compared to 67,259 units sold&nbsp;in April 2023, the two-wheeler giant's domestic sales increased by 31 per cent this April.&nbsp;Furthermore,&nbsp;in April 2024, cumulative sales (domestic + exports) surged&nbsp;by 12 per cent&nbsp;to 99,377 units, compared to 88,731 units sold in the same month last year. However, Suzuki's&nbsp;export sales decreased by 47.33 per cent&nbsp;from 21,472 units in April 2023&nbsp;to 11,310 units last month. On the other hand, Hero MotoCorp, the two-wheeler market leader, sold 5.33 lakh units last month, representing a 34.7 per cent YoY&nbsp;growth.

Suzuki Motorcycle India had a busy April as it reached the 80-lakh-unit two-wheeler production milestone in the 19th year of its operations in the country. 

Suzuki Motorcycle has achieved a huge production milestone of 80 lakh units in the 19th year of its operation in India.&nbsp;The company produced the last 10 lakh two-wheelers in just one year, including the Suzuki Avenis in a bright orange colour as the 80,00,000th unit.&nbsp;The Japanese manufacturer commenced operations in India in February 2006.&nbsp;It achieved the first production milestone of 40 lakh units in 13 years. However, as sales surged over the last decade, the company manufactured the next 40 lakh units in less than six years.

Sharing his thoughts on the achievement, Mr. Kenichi Umeda, Managing Director, Suzuki Motorcycle India said ''Reaching the 8-million-unit production milestone is a testament to SMIPL’s manufacturing capability. <h2>Suzuki Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Edition: Highlights&nbsp;</h2>

The 25th Anniversary Celebration edition costs Rs 80,000 more than its standard counterpart. It has a few cosmetic changes such as an orange and black livery, a 3D Suzuki badge on the tank, a 25th-anniversary inscription on the exhaust canister, and a Hayabusa Kanji emblem on the drive chain, among others.&nbsp;The Celebration edition comes with a single-seat tail as standard.&nbsp;

The celebratory variant has no technical upgrades and is still propelled by a 1,340cc, in-line four-cylinder motor that produces 190bhp at 9,700rpm and 142Nm at 7,000rpm. It is equipped with a six-speed transmission.

Suzuki Motorcycle Hits 80 Lakh Unit Production Mark in India

Suzuki Motorcycle India has reported overall sales of 97,435 units, a growth of 38&nbsp;per cent in February 2024 over the corresponding period of the last financial year.&nbsp;Last month's&nbsp;domestic sales accounted for 83,304 units, an increase from 52,451 units sold in February 2023. However,&nbsp;exports declined, with sales going&nbsp;from 18,170 units to 14,131 units in February 2024.&nbsp;Also, a look at the January 2024 sales performance tells us that the two-wheeler subsidiary of Suzuki Motor Corporation closed January 2024&nbsp;with&nbsp;cumulative sales of&nbsp;95,762 units, posting a 13 per cent&nbsp;increase over the corresponding period of the last financial year.&nbsp;Of these sales, the company sold&nbsp;&nbsp;80,511&nbsp;units within the domestic market&nbsp;while exporting 15,251 units globally during the same month.

<h2>Suzuki Access 125 Hits 10 Lakh Unit Production Milestone</h2>

This marks&nbsp;the full utilisation of the plant's annual production capacity within a year. The 10,00,000th model to roll off the line is the Suzuki Access 125, featuring a dual-tone Pearl Shining Beige colour&nbsp;scheme. The milestone comes within a year&nbsp;after <a href="https://www.autox.com/news/industry-news/suzuki-access-125-achieves-50-lakh-unit-production-milestone-in-india-113899/">Suzuki's top-selling&nbsp;model&nbsp;achieved a 5 million (50 lakh) unit production milestone </a>(in July 2023)&nbsp;– which was achieved 16 years after the factory commenced operations in 2007.&nbsp;

The Suzuki Access 125, first introduced in September 2007,&nbsp;comes powered by&nbsp;a 124cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 8.58bhp at 6,750rpm and 10Nm of peak torque at 5,500rpm. The scooter is available in three variants in the Indian market&nbsp;– Standard, Special Edition, and Ride Connect, priced at Rs 79,899 for the Drum Brake, Rs 85,800 for the Disc Brake, and Rs 90,500 for the Disc Brake with Alloy Wheel, respectively. Meanwhile, the Standard Edition Disc Brake variant costs Rs 84,300. The prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. In terms of market rivalry, it goes up against the&nbsp;TVS Jupiter, Honda Activa,&nbsp;and Yamaha Fascino in the 125cc segment.
