In the domestic market, Tata Motors’ PV sales reached 47,063 units, up 2.16% from 46,068 units sold the year before.
Tata Motors has released its sales figures for August 2024. The carmaker supplied 44,142 PVs domestically last month, registering a year-on-year decline of 3%.
Tata Motors announced it sold 44,725 units in the Indian domestic PV market last month, a 6% decrease from the 47,628 cars it sold in the same month last year.
Last month, Tata Motor's total commercial vehicle sales fell 7 per cent to 31,980 units, compared to 34,414 units delivered in June last year. Moreover, sales of electric vehicles (EVs) fell by a staggering 34 per cent year-over-year (YoY), totalling 4,657 units.
Tata has plans to launch four new EVs – Curvv EV, Harrier EV, Sierra EV, and Avinya EV – by FY2026 in India. The first two will be launched by March 2025, while the last two will be available by March 2026.
Tata Motors has released its sales figures for May 2024. It is all set to introduce the much-awaited Tata Altroz Racer in India on June 7.
Tata Motors claims that its total domestic deliveries increased by 12 per cent to 76,399 units last month from 68,514 units in April 2023.
In Q4 FY24, Tata Motors delivered more than 1.55 lakh passenger vehicles (PVs) globally, registering a 15 per cent increase over Q4 FY23.
Tata Motors has benefited from the increasing demand for its SUVs, especially the Nexon and the Punch compact SUVs. It now sells seven PVs (Altroz, Tigor, Tiago, Punch, Harrier, and Safari) in the Indian market.
Of 76,138 units sold in the domestic market, Tata Motors' passenger vehicle sales in December 2023 were 43,470 units, constituting a 9 per cent increase over 40,043 units sold in December 2022.
