The 2025 Tata Tiago NRG now comes with a 10.25-inch infotainment system, rearview camera, and a digital instrument cluster. Here’s a closer look at the additional changes.

The recently introduced Tiago NRG i-CNG is available in two variants – the XT and XZ.

Tata Motors has officially&nbsp;launched&nbsp;the CNG version of the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/tata/tiago/">Tiago</a>&nbsp;NRG at a starting price of ₹7.4 lakh (ex-showroom).&nbsp;The new variant is ₹90,000 more expensive than its petrol counterpart.&nbsp;With the debut of the Tiago NRG i-CNG, the firm&nbsp;has expanded its CNG product line in the country. The new variant is available in five colour options –&nbsp;&nbsp;Midnight Plum, Flame Red, Arizona Blue, Opal White, and Daytona&nbsp;Grey.&nbsp;The XT edition is priced at ₹7.4 lakh, while the XZ variant costs ₹7.8 lakh. Both figures are ex-showroom.

In terms of powertrain,&nbsp;the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/tata/tiago-nrg/">Tiago NRG</a> i-CNG has a 1.2-litre&nbsp;three-cylinder Revotron petrol engine under its hood, which produces 72bhp&nbsp;and 95Nm of peak torque and is mated to a five-speed manual transmission. The car comes with several features, including a height-adjustable driver seat, an engine start-stop button, an eight-speaker surround sound system, a cooled glove box, a fully digital instrument display, and steering-mounted controls.

The exterior of the<a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/tata/"> Tata</a> Tiago NRG&nbsp;i-CNG&nbsp;features dual-tone alloy wheels, black body cladding all around, new faux skid plates at the front and rear, a black roof, ORVMs,&nbsp;roof rails, fog lights, and black plastic cladding on the tailgate.

For safety reasons, the Tiago iCNG is able to switch immediately from <a href="https://www.autox.com/cng-cars-in-india/">CNG</a> to petrol mode in case of a gas leak. Both models come&nbsp;with significant safety equipment, including dual airbags, anti-lock brakes (ABS) with electronic brakeforce distribution (EBD), corner stability control, a rear parking assistance sensor, and more as standard.

Tata Tiago NRG i-CNG launched at Rs 7.40 lakh

The Tiago NRG -iCNG version has been introduced by Tata Motors in India, with prices beginning at Rs 7.40 lakh (ex-showroom). The model is offered in two variants, XT and XZ.  The XT edition costs Rs 7.4 lakh, while the XZ version is priced at Rs 7.8 lakh. All figures are ex-showroom.

Tata Motors has launched the XT variant of the Tiago NRG in India. The launch of the new variant marks the model’s first anniversary in India. It's priced at Rs 6.42 lakh and is targeted at young customers.&nbsp;

The new XT variant comes with 14-inch hyperstyle wheels, a 3.5-inch infotainment system, which is powered by Harman, steering-mounted controls, a height-adjustable driver seat, and front fog lamps, among other features. In addition to this, the XT variant of the standard Tiago has also been updated with features like 14-inch hyperstyle wheels, a height-adjustable driver seat, and a rear parcel shelf.&nbsp;

In terms of powertrain, the car gets the same 1.2-litre naturally aspirated three-cylinder petrol engine, which outputs 84bhp and 113Nm of torque. Customers can choose between a five-speed manual or a five-speed AMT.&nbsp; As the more dynamic version of the Tiago model, the Tiago NRG was intended to attract first-time car buyers and young customers.&nbsp;

Tata Tiago NRG XT variant launched in India at Rs 6.42 lakh

Tata has launched the XT variant for the Tiago NRG in India. The new variant has been launched as the NRG versions complete one year in India and comes with additional cosmetics as well as features.

The 2021 Tata Tiago NRG has been launched in India. The crossover hatchback has made its comeback in the facelift avatar along with a BS6 engine. The Tiago NRG is offered in two variants – manual and automatic. The prices start at Rs 6.57 lakh for the manual variant. For the automatic variant, customers have to shell out Rs 7.09 lakh. Prices of both the manual and the automatic variants are ex-showroom and introductory.

The Tiago NRG now sports a fascia more in line with the facelifted Tiago hatchback. The NRG continues with the beefy body cladding all around. To suit the new fascia, the body cladding has been reprofiled as well. The crossover hatchback now gets newly designed 15-inch alloy wheels. Styling bits such as a faux front skid plate, and roof rails continue to be the same.

The interiors get their share of updates too. A new start-stop button has made it to the feature list. The dashboard layout largely stays the same and houses a 7-inch touch-operated multimedia system with Android Auto and Apple Carplay. The stereo on offer is sourced from Harman and Tata offers steering mounted controls to operate the multimedia.

One notable mention is that the NRG misses out on automatic climate control, which the higher variants of the Tiago hatchback come equipped with. Interestingly, both the manual and automatic variants of the Tiago hatchback are more affordable by Rs 23,000 when compared to the respective pricing of the NRG.

For safety, the NRG is kitted with dual airbags in the front and rear parking sensors and a rear camera. The Tiago NRG gets a four-star GNCAP rating, which is the same as the Tata Tiago hatchback.

Most of the mechanical bits are shared between the Tiago and the NRG, however, the NRG offers 10mm – overall 181mm – more ground clearance over the standard Tiago hatchback. The engine has been borrowed from the facelift Tata Tiago as well. A BS6 complaint 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol mill powers the new crossover hatchback. The power is rated at 85bhp at 6,000rpm and 113Nm of peak torque is delivered at 3,300rpm. The manual variant comes with a five-speed manual transmission and the automatic variant is equipped with a five-speed AMT.

At this pricing, 2021 Tata Tiago slots between the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X and the Ford Freestyle. The Celerio X starts at Rs 5.11 lakh (ex-showroom) whereas the Freestyle is on the premium side, demanding Rs 7.28 lakh (ex-showroom) for the entry-level price. In the market position, the 2021 Tata Tiago NRG seems to be a good bargain between&nbsp;price and equipment amongst the three.

The Tata Tiago NRG is making a comeback in the&nbsp;BS6 form. Along with an updated drivetrain, the Tiago NRG is expected with a new fascia and styling tweaks that are more in line with the Tiago hatchback.

The BS6 version of the Tata Tiago NRG is on its way. The Tata Tiago NRG&nbsp;was phased out of the market when the facelift Tata Tiago was launched sometime last year. Now, Tata Motors has scheduled the launch of the 2021 (BS6)&nbsp;Tiago NRG for August 4, 2021.

The updates are likely to be cosmetic and the new crossover hatchback will pack in more features than before. The changes we expect on the exterior are redesigned headlamp and taillamp elements. The grille and the bumpers are likely to sport a new design – more in line with the fascia of the outgoing Tiago hatchback.

The Tiago NRG’s body cladding that gives it a crossover-ish appearance will be retained. A new set of alloy wheels are likely to be on cards. Features such as 7-inch touch-operated infotainment system with an eight-speaker Harman audio system –&nbsp; with Android Auto and Apple Carplay –&nbsp;will be offered with the updated model. The cabin will continue with the same layout and design but we expect the addition of new colour schemes for dashboard elements and seats.

The updated Tata Tiago NRG will borrow its powertrain from the outgoing Tiago. A BS6 compliant 1.2-litre petrol engine will be offered with Tiago NRG with a five-speed manual and an optional AMT. The power figures are expected to be very close to that of the Tiago hatchback&nbsp;– 85bhp and 113Nm.

The pricing is likely to be a shade above the cost of Tata Tiago. We reckon the 2021 Tata Tiago NRG will be positioned between Rs 5.25-6.5&nbsp;lakh (ex-showroom). The key rival to the Tata Tiago NRG is the Maruti Suzuki Celerio X that is priced from Rs 5.11 lakh (ex-showroom).&nbsp;

Tata Motors&nbsp;has introduced the&nbsp;Tiago NRG&nbsp;in India which is a&nbsp;tougher version of&nbsp;the standard hatchback. Essentially, the Tiago NRG is a cross-hatch with reinforced styling using plastic cladding all around, while retaining the same mechanical underpinnings. It&nbsp;has been&nbsp;launched at an introductory price of ₹5.5 lakh for the petrol&nbsp;variant and ₹6.32 lakh for the diesel variant (ex-showroom, Delhi). It will be available in three exterior colour options: Malabar Silver, Canyon Orange and Fuji White.&nbsp;

In terms of dimensions, the Tiago NRG is taller, wider and longer than the standard hatchback, with an increased ground clearance (now at 180 mm). The 'urban' styling additions on the Tiago NRG include an armoured front design, beefed-up side skirts and wheel arches. The rear bumper gets a faux skid plate and the roof, along with the roof rails, get an 'infinity' black finish. The car also comes with dual-tone, four-spoke, 14-inch DurAlloy wheels. Some of the features&nbsp;on the Tata Tiago NRG include steering mounted controls, voice command, built-in navigation and an 8-speaker Harman infotainment system with an exclusive 5-inch smart touchscreen.

The Tiago NRG will be powered by the same petrol and diesel engine options as seen on the regular Tiago hatchback – the 1.2-litre,three-cylinder Revotron petrol motor and the 1.05-litre,three-cylinder Revotorq diesel. The power outputs and torque figures also remain unchanged while the 5-speed manual transmission&nbsp;also remains unchanged.&nbsp;
