Formerly known as the bZ4X, the 2026 model now offers up to 505 km of WLTP-estimated range in the front-wheel-drive version, thanks to a larger 74.7kWh battery. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) variant delivers up to 338bhp and accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in 4.9 seconds. Charging capability sees a significant boost with support for Tesla’s NACS connector and Plug and Charge functionality. Visual updates include a cleaner exterior with body-coloured wheel arches and a refreshed cabin featuring a larger 14-inch touchscreen.   <p>Dual wireless charging pads have been added for greater convenience, and the use of softer materials and customisable 64-colour ambient lighting elevates the sense of comfort and sophistication.</p><h2>Toyota bZ Electric SUV: Mechanical Setup, Range, and Charging</h2><p>Under the skin, performance takes a significant leap. The dual-motor all-wheel-drive model now produces 338bhp, a notable rise from the previous 215bhp. The front-wheel-drive version also sees a power bump to 221bhp, up from 201bhp. As before, the AWD version includes the brand’s X-Mode system, which enhances traction in challenging driving conditions.<br><br>Range has also been notably extended. Thanks to a larger 74.7kWh lithium-ion battery pack, the vehicle can now travel up to 505 km on a full charge, roughly 25% more than the previous model. Toyota will also offer a base variant with a smaller 57.7kWh battery, providing an estimated 380 km range, making it a practical alternative for shorter commutes or city driving.</p><p>Charging is faster and more flexible than before. The 2026 bZ adopts the North American Charging Standard (NACS), allowing compatibility with Tesla’s Supercharger network.
