The new Volkswagen Tayron is available in both five- and seven-seat configurations and gets a choice of four engine options: 1.5-litre turbo-petrol mild-hybrid, 2.0-litre turbo petrol, 2.0-litre turbo diesel, and two plug-in hybrids.
The Volkswagen Tayron, which sits on the brand's new MQB EVO platform, will be sold as the Tiguan L Pro in the Chinese market.
Volkswagen is likely to introduce the next-gen Tayron SUV in India in 2025. The upcoming SUV will reportedly be based on the modified version of the MQB platform, which will also underpin the new Tiguan and the Skoda Kodiaq.
