<p><a href="https://www.autox.com/new-cars/bmw/">BMW</a> has introduced the Long Wheelbase (LWB) edition of the X3 in China, marking the SUV's first time in this configuration.&nbsp;The X3 LWB will be produced and sold exclusively in China. It has two different variants: the 25L xDrive and the 30L xDrive. These models will be manufactured at the Shenyang factory, a joint venture between BMW and Brilliance Automotive.&nbsp;The X3 LWB has the same&nbsp;design language as other BMW SUVs, such as the X1 and X2. It looks similar to the&nbsp;global-spec X3 that was unveiled in June.&nbsp;The LWB model is stretched by 110mm to a 2,975mm wheelbase,&nbsp;resulting in a total length of 4,865mm, as compared to 4,755mm of the conventional model.&nbsp;However, the width at 1,920mm, stays constant. <h2>BMW X3 LWB: Powertrain</h2>

<p>Both X3 LWB versions are expected to be driven by a 2.0-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine with differing performance outputs.&nbsp;The X3 30L xDrive is touted to produce 254bhp and 400Nm, whereas the X3 25L xDrive claims 188bhp and 310Nm.&nbsp;An 8-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive is offered for both variants.</p>

<p>The X3 25L xDrive is equipped with the standard exterior elements&nbsp;of the M Sport Package, which include titanium bronze accents and body-colored front and rear parts.&nbsp;In contrast, the X3 30L xDrive features a more aggressive appearance with a greater amount of blacked-out surfaces.&nbsp;The interior of the X3 LWB is identical to that of the standard new X3.&nbsp;It is equipped with a flat-bottom steering wheel,&nbsp;a BMW Curved Display (a 12.3-inch information display and a 14.9-inch infotainment display),&nbsp;and the BMW Interaction Bar on the dashboard.&nbsp;The car has Veganza sports seats as standard, which come in three dual-tone color schemes, offering&nbsp;the cabin a sense of luxury.</p>

<h2>BMW X3 LWB: India Launch on the Cards?</h2>

<p>Although the X3 LWB is currently only available in China,&nbsp;the manufacturer's tradition of introducing long-wheelbase models in different nations following their initial debut in China raises the possibility of bringing this stretched X3 into India.&nbsp;For the uninitiated, the ex-showroom pricing of the current generation X3 is Rs 72.50 lakh in India.&nbsp;It is currently only offered in one version, the X3 xDrive20d M Sport. While there is no formal announcement, the new-gen BMW X3 is expected to go on sale in India next year.&nbsp;</p>
