Hyundai i20 N Line Overview
The Hyundai i20 N Line kick start’s the arrival of the carmaker’s N performance division cars in India. Although the i20 N Line features only a handful of mechanical and cosmetic changes, it might give its rival, the Polo GT TSI a run for its money. The Hyundai N Line price starts at Rs. 9.84 lakhs, ex-showroom New Delhi whereas the starting on-road price for the same is at Rs. 10.99 lakhs.
Hyundai i20 N Line Exterior
The Hyundai i20 N Line sports a dual-tone bumper and a textured cascading grille with a new ‘chequered flag’ inspired design. The premium hatchback stands on 16-inch alloy wheels and flashes red inserts here and there, like on the front brake calipers. The sportiness is carried at the rear and it gets twin-exhaust pipes and a tailgate spoiler with side wings. The Hyundai i20 N Line new model is available in four monotone paint options – Blue, red, grey, and white, as well as two dual-tone paint options – blue with black and red with black.
Hyundai i20 N Line Variants
The Hyundai i20 N Line variants are named – N6 and N8. In terms of features, the i20 N Line carries forward the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster, wireless phone charging, cruise control, automatic climate control, a single-pane sunroof, 7-speaker Bose sound system, etc from the standard i20. What you also get for the Hyundai i20 N Line’s on-road price includes a new voice recognition function along with an updated Bluelink app that features 16 free over-the-air map updates, but only in the higher N8 variant.
Hyundai i20 N Line Interior
What sets the cabin of the Hyundai i20 N Line apart from the standard variant are the red highlights and red ambient lighting sprucing up the all-black interior. It also gets a bespoke three-spoke steering and a new chequered flag design with the N logo for the leatherette seats.
Hyundai i20 N Line Engine Specifications & Performance
The Hyundai i20 N Line is offered in a single tried and tested 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine that also does duty on the regular i20. The engine comes mated to either a 6-speed iMT or a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. The N Line produces 120bhp of power and 172Nm of torque. Sadly, a Hyundai i20 N Line variant, offering a manual gearbox with the turbo-petrol engine did not make the cut. While the higher N8 version is offered with both gearbox options, the N6 variant is married to an IMT only.
