Toyota Camry Highlights
Toyota's Camry has been a huge hit in overseas markets like China and the United States. In India, however, it has been a different story. It's a car that sits in a niche segment along with its other Japanese rival. The Toyota Camry Hybrid is a comfortable and refined saloon car that offers a very well-rounded package. This combined with its unrivalled reliability standards ensures that it’s difficult to find fault with, across parameters.
Up-front, the slot-like radiator grille is now placed higher up along with some chrome finish atop it and for the fog lamps as well. The headlamps get a smoked-out look; there are also LED DRLs and a LED main light as well. The bonnet is raised with creases giving it a strong definition. Along the sides, and above the wheel arches, there are neat character lines, and there's even a sharp shoulder line that runs the length of the car. At the rear, the lower half of the bumper appears a little wider; there's a chrome strip across the boot, and the tail lamp design gets clear-lens reflectors for the turning signals. The upmarket and mature looks sure justify the bump in Toyota Camry price.
The Toyota Camry variants comprises: Hybrid. Features include three-zone climate control, powered rear seats that recline, cooled front seats, cruise control, a rear armrest that has controls for the recline functions, reverse camera with park assist, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMS, parking sensors, rain sensing wipers and automatic headlamps. In terms of safety, the Toyota Camry new model gets 7 airbags, ABS with EBD and brake assist, and traction control as well.
Inside the cabin, many of the design details look identical to the pre-facelift model. The dashboard is made of better materials. There are chrome and wood accents that give it an upmarket look, and everything feels rather modern – something that consumers have come to expect in accordance to the Toyota Camry on-road price and segment. Even the information display is all-new, and can be controlled from the steering. The rear seat is extremely comfortable and offers great thigh support, while headroom is aplenty. Thanks to the seats placed at the right height, getting in and out is very easy. The rear seat backrest angle can be electronically adjusted too. The front seats too, are comfy and get eight-way power adjustability. Also, there are lots of storage spaces, and the glovebox compartment is huge. Boot space at 484 litres is pretty decent.
Engine Specifications & Performance
