<p>The Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has confirmed that there is no shortage of petrol, diesel, or LPG in the country, and the supply situation is “fully secure and under control.” The officials, along with state-run oil companies, have also urged the public to avoid panic buying and ignore misleading information because all fuel outlets are well-stocked and operational. India is not facing any fuel crisis, and no petrol pump has been instructed to ration supplies. While several countries around the world are dealing with rising fuel prices, India remains unaffected by such challenges. The government emphasizes that there is no need for any emergency measures, as fuel availability remains adequate and uninterrupted.</p><h2>Sufficient Reserves and Other Key Highlights  </h2><p>According to the Government, the supply of crude oil&nbsp;remains strong, with the country receiving it from over 41 countries, making up for any impact. Even Refineries are running above full capacity, and oil companies have secured supplies for the next 60 days. Meanwhile, imports have been reduced to about 30 TMT daily. In addition, 800 TMT of LPG cargoes&nbsp;from countries such as the United States, Russia, and Australia are already on their way to&nbsp;India’s expanded network of 22 import terminals. With nearly a month’s supply secured and procurement ongoing, oil companies continue to deliver around 50 lakh cylinders daily, even as&nbsp;demand normalises following a brief spike due to panic ordering.</p><h2>Fuel Prices Remain Unchanged</h2><p>Despite turbulence in global supply chains due to geopolitical tensions, the prices of fuels in New Delhi are stable. Petrol continues to retail at Rs 94.77  per litre and diesel at Rs 87.67 as of March 26, 2026.</p>

India’s total reserve capacity stands at 74 days, while actual stock cover is currently about 60 days. It is currently sourcing more crude oil from over 41 global suppliers.

Honda has commenced pan-India road testing of the 0 Alpha SUV, which is expected to launch in India by 2027. The upcoming Honda EV is expected to be offered with two battery options. 

<p>Renault has revealed the prices for the Duster in India.&nbsp;The entry-level Authentic variant with the 1.0-litre turbo-petrol manual is priced at Rs 10.49&nbsp;lakh (ex-showroom). This price drops to Rs 10.29 lakh for customers using the pre-booking benefit, the ‘R Pass’.&nbsp;At launch, the SUV is available with two engine options: a 1.0-litre turbo MT and the 1.3-litre turbo with both MT and DCT.&nbsp;The stronger 1.8-litre strong-hybrid petrol option will be introduced at a later stage. Renault has confirmed that bookings for the strong-hybrid version of the new Duster are already sold out for the rest of 2026, with nearly 39%&nbsp;of demand coming from metro cities. The 1.3-litre turbo-petrol variant, however, has emerged as the most popular choice,&nbsp;accounting for 91% of total bookings. Deliveries for turbo-petrol variants will begin in&nbsp;April 2026, while the strong-hybrid model will reach customers around November 2026.&nbsp;The SUV is offered in five variants (Authentic, Evolution, Techno, Techno+ and Iconic),&nbsp;spanning across different engines and features.     </p><p>The all-new Duster from Renault is currently offered with two turbo-petrol engine options:  a 1.0-litre unit producing 99bhp and a more powerful 1.3-litre engine delivering 161bhp.&nbsp;Both engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, while the 1.3-litre version also gets&nbsp;the option of a 6-speed DCT automatic. In addition, Renault will introduce a strong-hybrid powertrain in India&nbsp;for the first time, which combines a 1.8-litre petrol engine with an electric motor and a starter-generator&nbsp;to produce a combined 158bhp and 172Nm. This hybrid variant, however, will be launched later, around Diwali 2026.</p>
