Bajaj Bikes in India

The company began selling imported Bajaj two-wheeler and three-wheeler vehicles in 1948 and obtained a manufacturing license from the Indian government in 1959. In the year 1971, the company launched its first three-wheeled goods carrier. The turning point for the company came when just a year later, as they launched the iconic Chetak, which later on became to write numerous success stories for the marque.

Almost years of hard work, in 1981, Bajaj launched the M-50 which went on to become the first official Bajaj latest bike in India. It took another 5 years for the company to come up with an upgraded version, the M-80. 1981 also saw the company launch two more products – KB100 and KB125. Later on, for the Bajaj latest bikes, the company partnered with Kawasaki to bring in the KB series. Production began in 1986 and went on till 1996. The Boxer and the RE diesel Auto rickshaw were introduced in 1997. The next year saw the debut of the Caliber, the Spirit, and the Legend. Since then, the company shifted its prime focus on motorcycles. Bajaj bike price list (as of 2018) in India start at around ₹ 30,000 for the CT100 and go up to ₹ 1.45 lakhs for the Dominar 400.
