The spotted FL5 Civic Type R uses the 11th-generation Civic platform with design elements optimised for aerodynamic performance. It gets a bonnet scoop, a larger grille, bumper vents, 19-inch matte-black alloys, red Brembo brake callipers, front fender outlets, side spoilers, a diecast aluminium rear wing, and triple exhaust outlets.

A functional rear diffuser helps maintain stability at higher speeds. These exterior cues define the latest version of the Honda Civic Type R.
Inside, the car features red bucket seats with a low seating position for control. It includes a digital instrument cluster, a 10.2-inch infotainment screen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a Bose 12-speaker system, blind-spot monitoring, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, sport pedals, and app-based lap timing. Carbon fibre trim lines the dashboard, matching the sporty elements from the exterior.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre turbocharged VTEC engine that produces 325bhp and 420Nm. It is paired with a six-speed manual gearbox, rev-match control, and a limited-slip differential.
The upgraded brakes and revised chassis tuning are focused on better handling. The Honda Civic Type R powertrain prioritises an enthusiast-led driving experience with precise shifts under load.

The car would sit among low-volume performance imports, competing with the likes of the Volkswagen Golf GTI and Skoda Octavia RS. Interest in this hot hatchback continues even though the segment remains limited in size.
