Its been six months since the Hexa joined our Long Term fleet in March. And since then I have been enjoying its varied nature. But since the past month I have been enjoying another dimension to the car. The monsoons have kicked in here in the NCR and what a relief its been! Temperatures have dropped drastically and the cool winds have really bettered things. But with the rain comes the perennial problem of New Delhi, water logging! Every road has a puddle somewhere and this leads to serious bottlenecks as despite using the same road everyday, people are just so afraid to dip their wheels in the smallest of puddles. This as you know is quite frustrating.

Not when you are driving the Hexa though! While everyone struggles in the shallow end, all I have to do is aim for the deep end of road and the Hexa’s high clearance and air intake ensure that I can wade through the worst that South Delhi’s streets have to offer. So, while everyone watches in surprise, I can clear these unnecessary traffic jams without a bother.

But now since the Hexa is going back, it would appear that I am in a bit of a pickle. There is a lot to miss about the Hexa actually, it’s dominating road presence owing to the sheer size of the thing, its comfortable ride, the brilliant seats and now its water wading capabilities.

Goodbye big guy, you will be missed.
