Akcel GP has strategically signed 10-year-old Indian karting sensation Atiqa Mir to its professional motorsport programme. Renowned for her aggressive driving and consistent podium finishes, Atiqa has already demonstrated exceptional talent in leading championships such as the Rotax Euro Trophy, IAME Series, and WSK Super Master Series on both regional and international stages. This key signing underscores Akcel GP's dedication to identifying and developing top-tier young racing talent.
This significant development for Atiqa Mir comes as Akcel GP prepares to inaugurate its new Academy in Abu Dhabi in August 2025. Designed as a comprehensive training hub, the Academy will mentor 15 promising young drivers, providing a clear progression from elite karting directly into single-seater racing. This initiative aims to cultivate motorsport talent, offering robust development support for drivers from the UAE and other regions.

Akcel GP's selection of Atiqa Mir marks a pivotal moment for women in motorsport, especially within Asia and the Middle East. As one of the rare female competitors consistently performing at top-level karting events, Atiqa's participation strongly supports global efforts by initiatives like the F1 Academy and Women in Motorsport. These programs actively aim to increase female participation and create more equitable opportunities within the competitive racing world.
