2026 F1 Alpine Mercedes Car

Alpine has lifted the curtain on its 20261F1 livery, giving fans the first real glimpse of how the team plans to enter the new rules era. The car keeps Alpine’s familiar identity, but the timing of this launch makes it feel different. This is not just about colours. It marks the start of a fresh direction for the team, especially with a Mercedes power unit coming in. With development already underway and testing not far away, the livery reveal sets the mood for Alpine’s rebuild ahead of the 2026 F1 season.

The design stays close to what Alpine has used in recent years. Blue remains the base colour, while BWT's pink continues to feature through its sponsorship tie-up. The layout has been adjusted to suit the new bodywork shapes, which look cleaner under the upcoming regulations. From a distance, the car still feels familiar, but the details show this is a new-generation machine.

The biggest talking point sits beneath the engine cover. Alpine will race with Mercedes power units and gearboxes from 2026, bringing an end to its Renault engine era in Formula 1. This follows the decision to shut down Renault’s power unit programme, pushing Alpine into a customer setup for the first time under its current name.

With the 2026 rules putting more focus on electrical energy and deployment, power unit efficiency will matter more than ever. Using Mercedes hardware gives Alpine a stable platform, allowing the team to focus on car balance, tyre use and race execution rather than solving engine-related issues.

The 2026 car has already completed an early shakedown at Silverstone, ticking off initial system checks before full testing begins. After a tough previous season, this reveal feels like a reset. For Alpine, the aim now is simple: make the new package work and start building momentum from the first race weekend.
