As Formula One embarks on the 20th round of the season, all roads lead to Brazil, culminating in the last leg of a triple-header that spans the American continents. This weekend's Sprint races offer teams their final chance to secure crucial bonus points in the Constructors' Championship.

Max Verstappen's remarkable victory in Mexico marked his 16th Formula 1 Grand Prix win of the season, surpassing his own record from the previous year. The Formula 1 entourage now converges on Sao Paulo for the culminating Sprint race weekend of 2023. While Verstappen continues his dominant run, Lewis Hamilton's second-place finish brings him within 20 points of Sergio Perez, the second-placed driver in the standings, who endured an early exit at the hands of a first-corner mishap.

In the standings behind them, Carlos Sainz has demoted Fernando Alonso to fifth on countback after the Aston Martin driver had a second consecutive DNF in the team's disappointing  2023. AlphaTauri's fortunes have seen a remarkable upturn, catapulting them from the 10th spot to 8th in the Constructors' standings, level on points with Alfa Romeo. Meanwhile, Haas finds itself at the bottom of the rankings following Daniel Ricciardo's outstanding display in Mexico. The Brazilian Grand Prix promises to be another chapter in this enthralling Formula 1 season.

F1 Brazilian Grand Prix 2023: About Interlagos Track

F1 Brazilian Grand Prix 1

The Formula 1 World Championship made its first stop in Brazil at the legendary Interlagos circuit in Sao Paulo in 1973. There has been a Formula 1 race at this track for many years. Even though it has been shortened from its full length, the essence of the old circuit remains, as does the ardent support of Brazilian fans.

The layout of the track has changed much over the years, with just a few minor adjustments to individual turns and a few new run-off areas to keep up with the times and other circuits. The Brazilian Grand Prix was noticeably absent from the 2020 programme owing to the global COVID-19 outbreak. The next year, however, Formula 1 returned with great success, and the race was rebranded as the Sao Paulo Grand Prix.

Formula 1 fans should mark their calendars for the 2023 Brazilian Grand Prix, which will take place at the 4.309-kilometer Autodromo Jose Carlos Pace.
