Formula 1 is back this weekend as the summer break comes to an end, with the Dutch Grand Prix setting the stage for the second half of the season. All eyes will be on McLaren, where Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris are locked in a close fight for the drivers’ championship. Just nine points separate the teammates, as the team chases its first World Drivers' Championship in more than a decade, since Lewis Hamilton’s 2008 success.
Piastri has enjoyed a stronger start, keeping his performances steady, while Norris has seen his challenge hampered by a few costly mistakes. For now, both drivers are free to race, with McLaren stating they won’t favour either until one builds a clear lead in the standings.

There will also be huge interest in Max Verstappen as he races on home soil in Zandvoort. The reigning champion has not had the smoothest of seasons, but he remains in third place overall. The Dutch crowd will be hoping he can use the home advantage to put pressure on the McLaren pair and keep himself firmly in the title picture.
