Ferrari has shared the first official images of the SF-26, revealing how its Formula 1 car for the 2026 season will look. Ferrari's new F1 car appears in a red and red livery, staying close to Ferrari’s long-running colour theme as the sport moves into a new rules era. The first on-track outing is expected to take place later at the Fiorano test circuit. The SF-26 is Ferrari’s first car designed fully for the 2026 regulations. These new rules change how cars generate downforce and how power units deploy energy, meaning teams have had to rethink everything from layout to balance. Ferrari shifted its full aerodynamic focus to this project back in April last year, making the 2026 car the centre of development much earlier than usual.

Fred Vasseur, Ferrari Team Principal, said: 'The SF-26 marks the beginning of a new era for both Formula 1 and Ferrari, with new regulations introduced in the same year for the chassis and the power unit, as well as new fuels and new tyre sizes. This car is the result of a tremendous team effort and represents the start of a completely new journey, built around a different set of rules that inevitably brings a number of unknowns. The team is aligned and more united than ever as we look ahead to the season.

'From next week in Barcelona, we will begin the process of understanding and validating the car. In this initial phase, the priority will be to learn as much as possible and to start building solid foundations ahead of the opening race.'

Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc continue as Ferrari’s driver line-up. Last season was a difficult one for the team, with Leclerc scoring most of the points while Hamilton went through a year without a podium finish. The SF-26 gives both drivers a reset, with a completely different style of car waiting once testing begins.

Ferrari now joins Red Bull, Racing Bulls, Haas, Audi and Mercedes in revealing its 2026 car. With launch season picking up pace, attention will soon move from studio images to real track data. The SF-26 will head to Fiorano in the coming days, where the first clues about Ferrari’s direction under the new regulations will finally start to appear.
