Lewis Hamilton has officially joined Ferrari for the 2025 Formula 1 season, marking the end of his successful 12-year career with Mercedes. The seven-time world champion shared a photo of himself in Ferrari’s red, signalling the start of his new chapter with the Scuderia. Hamilton visited Ferrari’s Maranello headquarters this week and will soon begin test drives at the Fiorano circuit ahead of the season opener at the Australian Grand Prix in March.
This transfer is one of the most significant in F1 history, as Hamilton aims to win an eighth world championship with Ferrari. This would end Ferrari's 15-year title drought and surpass Michael Schumacher’s record of seven titles. At 40 years old, Hamilton remains determined to achieve greatness, and his move to Ferrari adds excitement to the 2025 season.
