Red Bull Racing has confirmed Isack Hadjar as Max Verstappen’s teammate for the 2026 Formula 1 season, completing a key driver move ahead of the new technical rules. The announcement comes after Hadjar’s first full year with Racing Bulls, where his results supported his promotion to the senior team. Arvid Lindblad will step into the open Racing Bulls seat next season and will race alongside Liam Lawson as part of Red Bull’s broader development plan

Hadjar ends his rookie Formula 1 season with a podium at the Dutch Grand Prix and several top-10 finishes. He joined the grid after placing sixth in Formula 2 the previous year. His strong qualifying pace and ability to outperform Lawson at key rounds helped his case for a promotion. Red Bull management said the move fits the programme’s step-by-step approach to driver development.
Yuki Tsunoda shifts into a reserve and development role with Red Bull for 2026 after completing his fifth season in Formula 1. He scored 30 points this year to take 15th in the standings. In his new role, Tsunoda will support simulator work and technical feedback as Red Bull enters the new power unit cycle. He spent four seasons with the sister team and became one of its longest-serving drivers.

Liam Lawson continues with Racing Bulls for his first full campaign after two seasons of partial entries. The New Zealander scored 38 points in 2025, including a fifth-place finish in Azerbaijan. His retention gives Racing Bulls a steady base as the team prepares for 2026 with the new pairing of Lawson and Lindblad.
