F1: Red Bull Sister Team RB Reveals 2024 Formula 1 Livery and It's Not as Complicated as Their Name

Debuting under the new "Visa Cash App RB" guise, the renamed second Red Bull F1 team has revealed its 2024 challenger. Previously known as AlphaTauri and Toro Rosso, the team unveiled photos of their VCARB 01 2024 vehicle at a Las Vegas exclusive launch event.

The Faenza-based RB team, which has undergone a major makeover with a new team principal and identity, debuted their 2024 Formula 1 car during a special event staged in Las Vegas. An impressive blue and white livery evoking the team's Toro Rosso era was on display at the VCARB 01's launch party debut. In contrast to AlphaTauri's sombre blue and white scheme, the RB squad's new colour scheme pays homage to bygone eras.

From a technological standpoint, the new car brings significant changes that bring it closer to the idea of Red Bull, the sister team. Red Bull has made significant changes, incorporating the rear suspension that Red Bull built for the 2023 Singapore Grand Prix, in response to a stated increase in collaboration for this season. Furthermore, the team has adopted a pull-rod front suspension design, matching that of Red Bull, who won both titles in Formula One with this setup when the rules were changed to account for ground effects.

F1: About Visa Cash App RB

RB VCARB 01 2

The 2024 RB is a hint of a stronger partnership with Red Bull, which has intensified the rivals' grievances that started in late 2023. Even though they are still working on the integration, Red Bull has taken a big step to unite their two teams. RB is moving to a brand new facility in Milton Keynes, which was just added to the Red Bull complex.

Laurent Mekies, formerly of Ferrari, replaces long-serving team principal Franz Tost during this historic leadership transition for Red Bull's second squad. Mekies will be part of a reorganised senior technical team that reports to Peter Bayer, a former member of the FIA. The most notable hires are the following: Tim Goss, who was previously the chief technical officer of the FIA, Guillaume Cattelani, who was deputy technical director at Red Bull, and the seasoned Alan Permane, who was hired after the abrupt resignation of Alan from Alpine in mid-2023.

Since AlphaTauri concluded its F1 journey last year, RB's driver lineup has remained the same. By the end of the 2024 season, Daniel Ricciardo hopes to have convinced Red Bull to consider him for a return to Max Verstappen's squad. The future of Yuki Tsunoda, meanwhile, is unclear as he begins his fourth season in Formula One.
