F1: Red Bull's Christian Horner Cleared in Probe on Inappropriate Behavior

The most difficult moment for Red Bull's Formula 1 team has ended, at least for the time being, with the conclusion of the claims against Christian Horner. In reaction to unnamed claims made against Horner, the parent business appointed an outside specialised counsel to lead an impartial investigation. As the investigation progressed, Horner continued in his roles as team principal and CEO of Red Bull Racing while firmly denying the allegations. The team's pre-season preparations were overshadowed by the claims, which surfaced right before the car launch. Nevertheless, the situation has now been resolved on the eve of the new season.

F1: What was the investigation about?

Horner was left to defend his career and future in grand prix racing after being thrust into a media frenzy by an investigation into vague accusations made by a female employee. Horner maintained his role and took part in the unveiling of RB20 and pre-season testing.

In an effort to get this settled before Horner's appearance at the season opener in Bahrain, Red Bull's directors met on Wednesday and made the announcement. Given the extensive scope of the investigation and the prospect of an appeal that may reopen the process and drag it out into the season, this likelihood was cast into doubt.

Since he has been at the helm of Red Bull Racing since its establishment in 2005, Horner has been a constant presence in Formula 1, making this preseason drama all the more noteworthy. The parent business started a thorough and lengthy investigation because the accusation at the centre of the matter was so serious.

F1: Horner Resumes Normal Duties

As practice for Thursday's Bahrain Grand Prix officially begins, Horner will be at the helm of the Red Bull F1 team for an unprecedented 20th consecutive season. Even before Horner's inquiry began, rumours began circulating that Red Bull was embroiled in a "power struggle" after co-founder Dietrich Mateschitz passed away.

Max Verstappen and Red Bull have been absolutely dominant in the last several Formula 1 seasons. Even though Ferrari was a formidable opponent early in the 2022 season, they quickly fell behind. With his consistently fast and dependable machine and his outstanding driving skills, Max Verstappen seemed unbeatable by 2023.

With Horner at the helm, Red Bull has won an astounding seven driver's titles and six constructors' championships, putting them in prime position to continue their reign in the 2024 season.
