Williams Racing has officially launched its 2025 Formula 1 car, the FW47, at Silverstone, the historic British Grand Prix venue. Alongside the reveal, the team conducted a filming session featuring its driver duo, Alexander Albon and Carlos Sainz. This highly anticipated launch highlights Williams' commitment to making strides in the competitive F1 landscape. This is the second car developed under team principal James Vowles, who is determined to lead Williams back to the front of the grid. The FW47 was showcased in its 2024 black-and-blue livery with additional sponsors. The team will reveal its definitive 2025 colour scheme at F1’s official season launch, where all teams will present their final liveries.

Williams heads into 2025 with fresh confidence, bolstered by a multi-million dollar title sponsorship deal with software giant Atlassian. This significant investment, combined with Vowles' leadership, has heightened expectations for a stronger campaign. With Albon and Sainz forming the most competitive driver lineup since the early hybrid era, Williams is aiming for a breakthrough season.

Carlos Sainz joins Williams Racing for the 2025 Formula 1 season, bringing a wealth of experience and proven success. With 206 race starts, 27 podiums, and four Grand Prix victories, he arrives as a key asset to the team. His move followed a dramatic 2024 driver market reshuffle triggered by Lewis Hamilton’s switch to Ferrari. As one of the most sought-after drivers, Sainz was in discussions with Red Bull, Mercedes, and Alpine before ultimately choosing Williams.

Beyond his racing skills, Sainz also strengthens Williams' financial backing with the support of Spanish banking giant Santander. This adds to an already strong sponsor portfolio featuring Gulf Oil, Duracell, and Japanese industrial leader Komatsu. Under the leadership of team principal James Vowles, who has been building for long-term success since 2023, Sainz’s arrival marks a crucial step in the team’s quest for greater competitiveness.
