JK Tyre's Fabid Ahmer to Compete at 2024 Qatar International Rally

Fabid Ahmer is all set to take part in the upcoming 2024 Qatar International Rally with his co-driver Milen George. This will be the 28-year-old Kerala-based rally driver's maiden international motorsport outing, with backing from JK Tyre Motorsport and off-road club ‘Dudes of Dunes’ – the latter of which will serve as Fabid's hospitality partner. The 2024 Qatar International Rally is scheduled to be held from February 1 to 3, and will have some of the finest up-and-coming rally drivers from around the world compete against each other. 

The upcoming Qatar International Rally will set the ball rolling for the Middle East Rally Championship (MERC), and will cover a total of 622.49 kilometres, with 13 timed special stages. Last year, a total of 23 international teams from over 13 countries participated in the rally, driving top-grade cars such as the Volkswagen Polo GTI, the Skoda Fabia Rally2 Evo, the Ford Fiesta R5, and more.

Fabid Ahmer to Race in Subaru Impreza 4WD Rally Car

Coming to the drivers, Fabid Ahmer brings a proven track record of numerous rally and championship wins over the last eight years, including consistent wins in the Indian National Rally Championship (INRC), the pinnacle of Indian rallying. Fabid along with his co-driver will be driving the Subaru Impreza 4WD Rally car prepared by Dubai’s Toolbox Autoworks.

Qatar International Rally 

The Qatar International Rally, also known as the International Rally of Qatar, is the leading series for the Middle East Rally Championship, dating back to the 1970s. It is conducted annually along with the Dubai International Rally.
