Lamborghini has officially introduced the Temerario GT3, a race car that marks a big milestone for the brand. For the first time, Lamborghini has built a GT3 machine completely in-house at its Sant’Agata Bolognese headquarters. What makes it even more special is that the car has been developed alongside the new Temerario road car, not after it, showing just how serious Lamborghini is about racing. The car will make its first appearance on track at the 2026 12 Hours of Sebring, a major event in endurance racing.

The Temerario GT3 has been designed with competition in mind. The team at Lamborghini reworked the aluminium spaceframe chassis to make it lighter and stiffer, exactly what a race car needs. The body is made from carbon composite materials, which not only keep the weight down but also make repairs faster during a race. That means quicker pit stops and more time spent on track chasing podiums.

Under the bonnet is a revised 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine, tuned to produce 542bhp (subject to balance of performance). That’s quite a bit less than the road-going version’s 789bhp. Lamborghini has also fitted a six-speed transverse gearbox and titanium connecting rods to keep things light and reliable.
The car might be a track machine, but it still looks like a proper Lamborghini. It shares the same sharp and dramatic design as the road-going Temerario, but with almost every part made from lightweight materials. Panels can be removed in seconds, which is a huge help for pit crews during races. Plus, the suspension setup can be adjusted in six different ways, letting teams fine-tune the car for every circuit.

Lamborghini has planned a full season of testing throughout 2026 and will offer full support to racing teams moving on from the Huracan GT3. With the Temerario GT3, Lamborghini is making it clear that motorsport isn’t just a side project — it’s part of their core.
