Mahindra Racing climbs to third in Formula E standings after a strong double-points finish in the wet Miami E-Prix, with de Vries and Mortara both scoring.

Mahindra Racing came out of the Miami E-Prix with a strong result that helped the Indian team gain ground in the Formula E constructor fight. A second strong points finish in a row pushed the team up to third in the Formula E standings, and this one felt earned rather than fortunate. The car stayed in the window, the calls on energy use were right, and both drivers stayed clear of the chaos that usually defines Formula E street races. Miami was all about doing the basics well over a full race distance. No last-lap drama, no risky gambles, just a clean job from start to finish. For a championship that often swings on small margins, this was the kind of weekend teams need to keep stacking results.

The biggest positive was seeing both Mahindra cars deliver. Nyck de Vries brought the car home in fifth after a steady drive that showed how much more settled things look now. He kept track of position, managed energy, and avoided unnecessary fights. After a slow start to the season, this was the sort of race that helps reset momentum and confidence.
For Edoardo Mortara, the job was tougher. A qualifying incident involving Sebastien Buemi left him starting 16th, which meant working from the opening lap. Mortara made progress early, passing cars where others hesitated, especially in greasy conditions. Sixth place at the flag summed up a drive built on timing and awareness rather than risk.
Up front, the race was won by Mitch Evans, who finally kick-started his season with a strong drive in wet conditions. Starting ninth, the Jaguar Racing driver played the long game, saving energy early before using Attack Mode at the right time to move through the pack. As the track stayed slippery, mistakes were punished and patience paid off, allowing Evans to take control in the closing stages and convert it into a clear win.
Behind him, the Miami E-Prix followed the usual Formula E script. Nico Muller and Pascal Wehrlein finished second and third, respectively, for Porsche Formula E Team. Sebastien Buemi finished seventh after recovering from earlier trouble, Josep Maria Marti picked up ninth, and Jake Dennis claimed the final point in tenth. Oliver Rowland and Nick Cassidy slipped out of contention as the race settled.
