Francesco Bagnaia delivered a masterclass performance at the Red Bull Ring, securing a commanding double victory in Austria and extending his lead in the MotoGP championship. The Italian rider took control of the race from title rival Jorge Martin on lap 2, dominating the field, and ultimately crossing the line by a comfortable margin. Enea Bastianini completed a dominant weekend for Ducati by securing third place. Bagnaia's pace was evident from the outset, having showcased his incredible pace in Saturday's sprint race. The championship rivals, locked in a tight battle for the title, appeared a class apart from the rest of the grid throughout the weekend. Gresini's Marc Marquez, who started third on his year-old Ducati, suffered a setback when he crashed out of the Sprint while chasing Bagnaia, dashing his hopes for a strong weekend.

KTM faced a challenging weekend at their home Grand Prix, with Brad Binder leading their charge to a fifth-place finish. The South African rider showcased impressive effort, but couldn't match the pace of the dominant Ducati riders. Marco Bezzecchi secured a respectable sixth for the VR46 Racing Team, while Maverick Vinales was the top Aprilia finisher despite a challenging weekend for the Noale-based manufacturer.

Yamaha endured a disastrous race, failing to score any points. Fabio Quartararo's race was compromised by a long-lap penalty for track limits, resulting in an 18th-place finish. His teammate Álex Rins also struggled.

Raul Fernández (Trackhouse Racing) and Luca Marini (Repsol Honda) were forced to retire, while a crash disrupted Jack Miller's race before he remounted to finish 19th.
