MotoGP returns to Asia this weekend with the Japanese Grand Prix at Twin Ring Motegi. All eyes are on Marc Marquez, who could wrap up the 2025 Riders’ Championship if he extends his lead to 185 points over his brother Álex Marquez, representing Gresini Ducati. If Marquez succeeds, he will clinch his seventh premier-class title, drawing level with Valentino Rossi’s record. It would also bring his career tally across all categories to nine, again matching Rossi’s figure. For MotoGP followers, the chance to see Marquez equal one of the sport’s most iconic achievements ensures significant interest in this round.

Motegi itself adds weight to the occasion. As Honda’s home circuit, it has been central to Marquez’s career highlights in the past. Winning the championship here in Ducati colours would underline not only his current form but also his transition from Honda’s leading figure to Ducati’s spearhead.
