MotoGP heads into Round 4 of the 2026 season at the Circuito de Jerez, and the story so far has been all about Aprilia Racing. Three races in, and Aprilia has taken control of the season, winning every round and leading both the riders’ and manufacturers’ standings. At the centre of it all is Marco Bezzecchi, who has looked sharp, consistent, and properly in command every time the lights go out.

On the other side, Ducati Lenovo Team has had a rough start by its standards. No wins yet, and more importantly, no podium finishes either (for the factory team). Marc Marquez, still working his way back to full fitness, has been the second-strongest Ducati rider so far but only sits fifth in the standings. His best result came with a fifth-place finish, just behind Fabio Di Giannantonio, leaving Ducati with plenty to fix heading into Jerez.
