The 2026 MotoGP season gets underway this weekend at the Thailand GP, with Buriram’s Chang International Circuit ready to test both riders and machines in the heat and humidity. Most of the pre-season talk has centred on the Aprilia versus Ducati battle. At the final Buriram test, Marco Bezzecchi did more than lead the timesheets — he set a new lap record and left the Aprilia garage quietly confident. Across the garage, KTM’s Pedro Acosta has been playing his cards cool, hinting he’s not gunning for the win straight away even as his speed suggests otherwise, and Honda has edged forward, chasing consistency rather than glory. Yamaha’s bold new V4 project still has homework to do, with Fabio Quartararo and new teammate Toprak Razgatlıoglu learning the ropes on prototype machinery.
