MotoGP 75 Years

To celebrate MotoGP's 75th anniversary, Silverstone is transforming into a vintage wonderland. Riders will ditch their usual liveries and swap them for unique "throwback" designs inspired by their teams' glorious past. These one-of-a-kind masterpieces will be unveiled on the Thursday before the race weekend (August 2-4) during a special pitlane walk, giving fans a chance to peek into the past alongside the present. Also, the iconic BMW M Safety Car will get a vintage makeover, adding a touch of nostalgia. It'll even have a classic touch to the podium ceremony, bringing viewers back to the days of old.  This first race after the summer break holds even more significance – it's a tribute to the very first motorcycle grand prix held in 1949.

To heighten the anticipation, the "MotoGP 75th Anniversary Special" on August 1st will unveil these stunning liveries in a live online broadcast and at Silverstone itself. This marks a first in MotoGP history – all bikes on the grid sporting distinctive liveries simultaneously.

The MotoGP championship has become even more thrilling, with Ducati facing a complex challenge on multiple fronts. Currently, Pramac Ducati's Jorge Martin leads the standings by 18 points over his factory Ducati teammate, Francesco Bagnaia. Meanwhile, Marc Marquez, riding a year-old Ducati for the Repsol Honda team, is just 35 points behind.

The intrigue doesn't stop there. Ducati's rider lineup for next season has undergone a significant shake-up. Martin, once the favourite for a factory Ducati seat, will instead join the Aprilia team. This unexpected move opens the door for Marc Marquez to team up with Bagnaia at Ducati in 2025.
