Bezzecchi wins MotoGP US GP at COTA, leads championship. Jorge Martin finishes second, and Pedro Acosta takes third after a strong race.

Marco Bezzecchi made it five wins in a row at the 2026 US Grand Prix, and this one felt controlled from the moment he hit the front. He started fourth after a qualifying penalty involving Marc Marquez, but that did not hold him back for long. On the opening lap at the Circuit of the Americas, he got involved in contact with Pedro Acosta and still came out with the lead.

What stood out was how he handled the rest of the race. The contact left his bike with damage to the rear aerodynamics, but his pace never really dropped. Once he settled into the lead, he just kept things steady and did not give anyone a real chance to get close.
Behind him, Jorge Martin kept pushing and finished second, just over two seconds behind. He got past Acosta on lap 14 and stayed in the fight, but Bezzecchi always had a bit in hand. Martin now sits four points behind in the standings.

Acosta still managed to bring it home in third for KTM. That is a solid recovery after losing a Sprint podium due to a tyre pressure penalty. It was not an easy weekend for him, but he still walked away with a podium.
Ai Ogura looked set for a strong result while running third, but a technical issue forced him out. That opened the door for Fabio Di Giannantonio, who took fourth and was the top Ducati rider, even after losing ground at the start.

Further back, Marc Marquez finished fifth after serving a long lap penalty for his Sprint clash with Di Giannantonio. He dropped down the order but fought back and passed Enea Bastianini and Francesco Bagnaia late in the race. Bagnaia ended up 10th after losing places in the final laps. Toprak Razgatlioglu finished 15th and picked up his first MotoGP point as the top Yamaha rider.
All riders went with medium tyres front and rear. With Qatar postponed, the championship now heads to the Spanish MotoGP at Jerez from 24 to 26 April.
