TVS Ladies One Make Series 2018 finalists announced

TVS Racing has announced the line up for the TVS Ladies One Make Series for the 2018 season.

TVS Racing has revealed the 17 women racers who have been selected to compete in the 2018 season for the TVS Ladies One Make Series. These riders were selected after a rigorous set of trials held in Mumbai, Bangalore & Chennai.

The trials the riders had to undergo involved 2 rounds of rigorous selection rounds conducted by TVS Racing. Based on their best lap timings, physical fitness and racing abilities the final list of riders were selected based on their performance. The selection round in Mumbai saw 38 entries, 37 entries were registered in Bangalore while the final selection round in Chennai saw 40 riders taking part. The one-make series will see the selected 17 riders compete in five rounds on race tuned TVS Apache RTR 200 bikes.

B Selvaraj, Team Manager, TVS Racing said, “We introduced an all-women racing academy in 2016 with a focus on training and equipping talented women racers to enter the mainstream racing arena.  With each passing year, I am delighted to see the increasing number of participants for the training and selection process – which is a testimony to our effort of creating a democratic space for motorsports in India.  The 2018 team looks promising and I am confident that the rigour and spirit, which they brought to the selection rounds will translate in superior performance on the race track.”

In the last season of the TVS Ladies One Make Series, fifteen competitors raced in four rounds at the Madras Motor Race Track near Chennai.
