The Hosur plant remains at the core of Ather’s manufacturing push. Spread across two units, it handles vehicle assembly and battery production, offering a combined annual capacity of 4.2 lakh units. Company officials say strict quality control measures and streamlined production processes have been key to maintaining consistent output, especially as the EV sector continues to see new entrants and rising competition.

Looking ahead, Ather is building a new facility in Maharashtra. The plant will be developed in two phases and incorporate Industry 4.0 manufacturing systems to improve efficiency. Once operational, it is expected to take Ather’s total production capacity to 1.42 million units annually.
Meanwhile, Ather’s charging infrastructure has been growing alongside its manufacturing capacity.
