<p>Italian bikemaker <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/" target="_blank">Ducati</a> had an action-packed schedule for the Indian market in 2022, and one of the most sought-after motorcycles has been the Streetfighter V2. A mini rendition of Ducati’s fearsome Streetfighter V4, the Streetfighter V2 has been launched in India at a price of Rs 17.25 lakh (Ex-showroom).</p>

<p>At the heart of it, the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/streetfighter-v2/" target="_blank">Ducati Streetfighter V2</a> uses a 955cc, liquid-cooled, 90-degree V2 engine which delivers 151bhp and 101Nm. The transmission is a six-speed unit with a bi-directional Quickshifter in place. The clutch has a slip and assist function to it as well.</p>

<p>Ducati uses a monocoque aluminium frame for the chassis. At the front, the suspension comprises fully-adjustable 43mm Showa BPF forks, the tyre is a Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV with 120/70 section sitting on a 17-inch rim, and the braking duties are taken care of by two 320mm semi-floating discs and radially mounted Brembo Monobloc M4.32 4-piston callipers.</p>

<p>At the rear, there is a fully adjustable Sachs suspension unit with a single-sided aluminium swingarm, the tyre is a Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV with 180/60 section sitting on a 17-inch rim and the braking duties are taken care of by a 245mm disc with a 2-piston calliper. The dry weight of the motorcycle sits at 178kg, whereas the kerb weight goes up to 200kgs.</p>

<p>As far as safety kit goes, Ducati is offering Riding modes, Power modes, Bosch Cornering ABS EVO, Ducati Traction Control EVO 2, Ducati Wheelie Control EVO, Engine Brake Control, and Auto tyre calibration on the Streetfighter V2. Other standard equipment includes full LED lighting, a Sachs steering damper and auto-off indicators. The warranty is pegged at 24 months for an unlimited number of kilometres.</p>

<p>On the rival’s front, the Ducati Streetfighter V2 will lock horns with the Kawasaki <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/kawasaki/z900/" target="_blank">Z900</a>, BMW <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/bmw/f900r/" target="_blank">F 900 R</a> and the Triumph <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/triumph/street-triple-r/" target="_blank">Street Triple</a> to an extent.</p>

Ducati Streetfighter V2 launched in India, priced at Rs 17.25 lakh

The baby Streetfighter V2 might be smaller motorcycle in Ducati’s naked motorcycles lineup, but it packs enough punch to make sure that the average rider never really misses the Streetfighter V4. It has now been launched in India.

<p><em><strong>Ducati has announced a new paint scheme for the Streetfighter V2 for international markets. The new Storm Green colour scheme will be available&nbsp;alongside the brand's signature Ducati Red colour option.</strong></em></p>

<p>The Italian bikemaker has announced that the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/streetfighter-v2/" target="_blank">Ducati Streetfighter V2</a> will now be available in&nbsp;a new paint scheme –&nbsp;the Storm Green colour scheme&nbsp;–&nbsp;alongside the signature Ducati Red colour option.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The new colour can be spotted on the headlight mask, fuel tank, engine cowl, and rear panel. The wheels will have&nbsp;a black finish,&nbsp;with red accents. In addition to this, <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/">Ducati </a>has also altered the saddle, which is now wider and has&nbsp;more padding. Furthermore, the motorcycle’s footpegs have also been repositioned to provide more space for the rider.&nbsp;</p>

<p>Apart from the aforementioned changes, the Streetfighter V2 remains the same in terms of specifications and features. This means that essentially, it follows its&nbsp;elder <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/streetfighter-v4/">V4 </a>sibling, with a sleek LED headlight, a muscular fuel tank, a step-up set, a compact exhaust canister, and a single-sided swingarm. &nbsp;</p>

<p>In terms of features, the motorcycle comes with full-LED lighting, a 4.3-inch colour TFT display, and a comprehensive electronics package. On the electronic front, the Streetfighter V2 gets a six-axis IMU, which includes cornering ABS, traction control, wheelie control, a bidirectional quick-shifter, and engine brake control. It also features three riding modes (Sport, Road, and Wet) with dedicated control settings as standard.</p>

<p>At its heart, the Ducati Streetfighter V2 continues to be powered by&nbsp;the 955cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine, which outputs 153bhp at 10,750rpm and a peak torque of 101.4Nm at 9,000rpm. The motorcycle is based on a die-cast aluminium monocoque frame, which&nbsp;is suspended with the help of 43mm Showa BPF front forks and a Sachs rear shock absorber.&nbsp;</p>

<p>The key difference between the two bikes is the engine. The Streetfighter V2 borrows its powerplant from the Panigale V2, which means the new street naked gets Ducati’s 955cc Superquadro L-twin. The recorded power figures are 151bhp at 10,750rpm and 101Nm at 9,000rpm. These figures are marginally low compared to that of the Panigale V2.&nbsp;Ducati has also tweaked the gearing of the motorcycle to produce more mid-range drive, which can be very helpful in urban settings. Also, compared to the Panigale, the Streetfighter V2 has a 16mm longer swingarm, which can help the Streetfighter offer a more planted mid-corner feel. The gearbox is a six-speed unit, which features a slipper-clutch and a bi-directional quick shifter.</p>

<p>In terms of, the Streetfighter V2 include 6-axis IMU-based traction control and cornering ABS. The rider aid package also includes wheelie control, engine brake control, and multiple riding modes. All the electronics can be accessed via a 4.3-inch TFT screen.</p>

<p>The cycle parts include a fully adjustable 43mm Showa BPF front fork and rear Sachs shock absorber, which have been tuned to perform on the road performance instead of the track. For braking, the Streetfighter V2 uses the Brembo M4.32 monobloc radial callipers with 320 mm front discs; however, the firm claims that the braking is not as aggressive as the <a href="https://www.autox.com/new-bikes/ducati/panigale-v2/">Panigale V2</a>.</p>

<p>The Ducati Streetfighter V2 is likely to be launched in India sometime&nbsp;next year. The motorcycle will be positioned in the Rs 15 – 19 lakh (ex-showroom) bracket.</p>
